It's easy saying there are bigger and better managers out there and comparing him with the Allardyce era. It's proved time and time again that the revolving door view of management just destablises clubs.

 

Simple question which normally knackers all the anti-Megson brigade:

 

Are there any managers out there at the moment that are better and, more to the point, willing to come to Bolton? My nadgers there are.

For the same reasons I've used before and Squidgy uses above, it's one thing getting rid, it's another thing to replace him with someone who's:

 

1. Better than Megson

2. Acceptable to the supporters (I don't think BWFC has the stomach for a manager the fans don't like)

3. Willing to manage Bolton because they think they can do something, not because they're currently out of work.

Keep him. He's created a promising team from a low starting point and in comparison to most Prem clubs, a fairly low budget.

 

Ok, the footie's not always great, he's not Sam Allardyce and he's not exactly Mr Personality, but we're not going to attract anyone who can make things significantly better in the long term and change always comes with the risk of sending a club into genuine freefall.

I will never be a fan of Megson's, although I do love 'our club' I will always support the them.

I don't doubt that the ?35 million spent on players by Megson is capable of keeping us up,if Burnley spent ?35 million I would expect them to stay up.But I expect a bit more than only staying up with that level of investment and don't think Megson has the ability to take us beyond that.

99% of people on here are already well aware of how the rest of the forum feels about the current managerial set-up.
