October 11, 200916 yr Right then: favourites/co favourites win approximately 31% of their races and get placed in approximately 59% of their races. This means that blanket betting them to win would see you lose 8% of all your stakes: backing them eachway would see a loss of 9% However, if we can get the win% up to around 40+% and the place % up to 65+%, we should be able to make a profit.
