October 2, 200916 yr thanks for that info is there any particular part of the season were fav win more or less. ie beginning /middle or end of the season. sorry for beeing a pain were do you get your info from im interested ,is there a site ,i can use. many thanks I get most of my info from timeform, which is a subscription service. But there's free stats available across the net, via racing post, at the races, sporting life etc etc. In answer to your question about when is the best time to back the favs: the simple answer is never, but definitely avoid November to February inclusive. October is the best month. Results broken down by Month Bets / Wins /Win Strike Rate / Win %Return at SP January 377 173 45.9% 89.2% February 344 152 44.2% 85.8% March 300 145 48.3% 96.0% April 557 261 46.9% 90.3% May 823 405 49.2% 95.0% June 841 379 45.1% 87.6% July 894 444 49.7% 96.9% August 839 405 48.3% 94.2% September 674 314 46.6% 90.1% October 381 191 50.1% 99.0% November 228 102 44.7% 87.5% December 266 118 44.4% 84.7% That probably looks a right mess, but the info's all there!
October 4, 200916 yr STS should win, but I think I'd prbably go with Youmzain for a place if I was to have a bet in this race.
October 4, 200916 yr Author STS should win, but I think I'd prbably go with Youmzain for a place if I was to have a bet in this race. good call traf 2nd 20/1
October 5, 200916 yr Backed it myself. Saeed Suroor has a 27% strike rate at Windsor, you see. Took 2.9 earlier.
October 5, 200916 yr Backed it myself. Saeed Suroor has a 27% strike rate at Windsor, you see. Took 2.9 earlier. And this rises to 31% with Mr Dettori on board.
October 5, 200916 yr Suroor also wins 31% of the time at Pontefract, including the opener at 4/1 today!
October 5, 200916 yr And this rises to 31% with Mr Dettori on board. I like them kind of stats, so I've just got on at 2.76
October 5, 200916 yr CWP, amongst others, will verify that I've made decent money from laying the type of horse you're backing ie the short priced fav! 'tis true, if I remember correctly last year was particularly fruitfull
October 5, 200916 yr And this rises to 31% with Mr Dettori on board. seems Dettori isn't on board now, Spencer has the ride instead
October 5, 200916 yr Author seems Dettori isn't on board now, Spencer has the ride instead finished last
October 5, 200916 yr seems Dettori isn't on board now, Spencer has the ride instead And therein lies the problem. Spencer is shite. Lay all his rides at 1m2f or further and you'll make money. 10 defeats from 12 over the last 3 weeks.

October 7, 200916 yr The stats look good on Comradship, so I've just had a wee bet, got 3.1 on Betfair edit: Bugger, didn't win Edited October 7, 200916 yr by CWP
