The fans arent divided over Megson, 90% of fans are voting for him to go now !!

 

Thats down from 98.3% who didn't want him appointed in the first place, so he's obviously winning people over

 

 

A damning poll conducted on the website of The Bolton News yesterday revealed that only 1.7 per cent of fans were in favour of the former Leicester City manager succeeding Sammy Lee, who was dismissed last week after only 5? months in charge.

Well, it's actually 78.5% who want him out now, so the 1.7% who weren't opposed to him getting the job has risen to 21.5% now.

 

In other words: Gary Megson is now 12.65 times more popular than he was when appointed.

 

Or in other words: stats taken out of context mean fuck all.

I have spent all season defending him. Wanting his team selection to bear fruit. Most of all I've spent the time since his appointment hoping he'll turn things around just to silence the doubters. I've said many a time on here that he's not the man for the job, but while he has it he gets my support. I must admit I voted for him to go on this sites poll, but today I found myself watching the F.A.Cup highlights thinking, Aidy Boothroyd, Danny Wilson, him from Palace, him at Southampton? Even old big 'eds lad. Plodders, the lot of 'em. Are they better than what we've got, or would they be the breath of fresh air that our club needs?

At the end of the season, if we survive, GM will have done his job - for the third season on the trot. If not he will have failed, and it will be time for a change.
