January 3, 201016 yr Soz about the spelling, but you know who I mean. Considering pompeys plight, I think it would be good to try and get him back...............?
January 4, 201016 yr No but, provided the other defenders understand that they can't all go up at the same time, it makes him a good team player. If he can pop up with a few goals like Cahill then all the better. I just wonder if Cahill and TBH would play well together in central defence just because they both like to show a bit of silky skill going upfield. I'd take the risk though and let them create an understanding. the best partnships are a footballer and a clogger.
January 4, 201016 yr Hope we only offer him half the money he wanted to stay though.Greedy fucker. Let's not forget that his wage demands were the reason he left us. Glory hunting at Chelsea. He would have probably been our captain and main stay of the team had he opted to stay. But..... yep, I agree, would be a good partner for GC. He was actually on a very modest salary (comparatively) at Bolton the club let him go by not offering him the same deal as some of his teamates & when his contract lapsed he was lucky enough to get a big payday at Chelsea. Would be great to have him back.
January 4, 201016 yr So no room for GC and TBH in your team? i dont think tbh would be ideal for defending set peices due to lack of height. (ive always though he was a little short for a centre back anyway) but general positioning in play, would be far better than anything we have now though. tough decision. i'd see haim more of (dare i say) a replacement than a partner for cahill.
January 4, 201016 yr I think he is, Jose didnt sign him for nothing, him and Cahill at the back would be great IMO I don't remember him making many starts for Chelsea though. Besides, his career has been hit and miss since he left Bolton me thinks. And as for mickyd thinking he could come up with a few goals for us, to say there's more chance of Elmander scoring, is an understatement.
January 4, 201016 yr I was thinking exactly the same; TBH in, Cahill, whether we like it or not, out to a big 4 club. I'd still back TBH to score at least as many as Elmander.

Yep he spat his dummy out as at the end of his 1st season, Jaidi got a better contract, TBH was told he wasnt due one even after playing more games and being the better player out of the 2, they both srated on 5 k a week, Jaidi got his doubled to 10k, TBH didnt
