If we take my guidelines from a previous post, it would appear that people are slowly returning. We'll just have to see what difference the cut-price tickets make for the Fulham game. Last year we got 22,117 for that fixture, which came 10 days after losing at Stoke City.

Didnt ladies get in on the cheap last season against Fulham? But yeh it was a good turnout, seeing as Fulham brought no more than 200, so just under 22,000 Wanderers fans in... I reckon the crowd will be about 21,000 this time round...

but let's try and recreate last night's atmosphere.

I expected more to be honest

At times it was pretty quiet but as you say, a step in the right direction.

As I said on here a few days ago, the days of crowds over 25,000 at The Reebok have gone. Too many of the arm-chair fans who joined us under the heady days of being a top 8 team have drifted away again.

As DeaneWhite said, 23,000 is a good crowd for us now.

There won't have been very many Burnley fans in the home seats. Didn't see anyone in ESL with six fingers anyway!

Fulham this time around is a tenner a ticket for adults, kids at a fiver and families at 24 quid. That has got to entice a few extra supporters out of their armchairs. You couldn't watch a Conference North match for that! If that doesn't get folk down to the ground, football as we knew it is dead. There is nothing that would bring people back. A winnable Premier League game, a team on the up, London's closest equivalent club (even down to the colour of the shirts!), ten quid a ticket, tradititional Saturday 3 o'clock kick-off and not on tv. All the usual excuses do not apply to this game. Anyone who says, "Well, it is only Fulham." is not a supporter. Even those laid off during the recession may be able to come at those prices. Those members of Atherton Colls' committee who are Bolton fans (of whom I am one) can come, as they have no game on that day!

One important point to note about the club's regular ticketing policy: Why the hell is it the same price to sit in the North Upper (miles away from the pitch- you know Bolton's goals will be scored at the opposite end if you sit there!) as it is in the East and West Upper? That really does need sorting out. There is a myth that upper tier seating offers a better view than lower tier. It may offer a better guarantee of cover, but given the way the wind swirls around the Reebok, that may also be a myth. Is it any wonder the NSU is always the last stand to be filled?

anything less than capacity at those prices must make bwfc think "what the fuck do we have to do?"
