Latest from inside the ground...... Great atmosphere. Huge queues for beer. Bolty not yet been spotted.

Nice Kearsley flag behind mid on as Tremlett runs in. And again, as I post, Australia lose a wicket. I'm getting good at this

Fastest finger! 28-3 :yahoo:

Only slight gripe is that Jimmy isn't making them play enough. Damn, no wicket. I'm losing my touch

Matt Prior behind the stumps today reminds me of me in my days as a junior at A&T

I play for Daisy,

Ah right, I bet you'll have faced a few from likes of Sammy Nick and PB then. Does Brooksy (Sean) still play for you?

Done it again! As I posted Finny did him. Fuck off Watson you massive cunt

Apologies for the language. I really hate Shane Watson

The most pointless referral yet. Absolutely stone dead. 36-4.

Yeh played interleague with Pb Nicklin tried getting me to go to you men around 96 before I discovered beer and women!!!

Brooksy has gone spring view next season top lad good bat too

Anyways this start well worth the alarm!!!

Not sure KP, I thought he was outside the line. Only by centimetres, but I reckon he was. But because he's a massive twat I think it's the correct decision

SJM, A&T are all about the beer lad! Straight in the club after the match then up to Far Pav in Atherton. Or that's what it used to be, at least. This is when I went purely as a spectator/drunk though

I just really don't agree with using a referral for a decision like that. You see a yorker like that hitting the batsman on the toe and immediately think it's out, that's how it always has been. Aye, if you've twatted it into your foot and the decision is clearly wrong, go for the referral, but that really is clutching at straws.

I agree that it would have been given out every day of the week before the referral system (and with good reason) but when you're the opening bat and potentially 30-odd for 4 I can see why you'd refer that decision

Reduce it to 1 referral per innings just to take out the chance of a real shocking decision. That's all I think it should be used for.

I agree with that KP. Referrals aren't supposed to be used for marginal decisions they're meant to be used for shockers. If teams only had 1 then they'd only use them if they were 90%+ certain they were right. Strauss cocked up in 1st test because he was too eager to use them

Spot on. Nasser seemed to sum it up well there, you've got to stick with the umpires decision at times like that.

How awkward does this Smith lad look?

He looks all kinds of rubbish. I'm tempted to stay up til 6 then reassess
