Former Bolton Wanderers striker Ricardo Vaz Te has left Panionios by mutual agreement after failing to make an impact at the Greek Super League side.

 

Vaz Te, 24, left the Wanderers last summer after his contract expired, and signed a three-year deal with the Greek club who currently sit 14th in the league.

Hands up who is really surprised he hasn't made it.

I genuinely think he could've gone on to become a capable performer in the Prem had it not been for injuries and the odd bit of luck. His decision making was suspect, but that goalscoring run he went on at the end of one season showed what he could do, and he looked a real handful.

 

Sadly the season finished too soon for him, and injuries hampered his progress and most probably his ability.
