I've heard mixed reviews on beer prices, I think it can be more expensive in trendy / touristy places and cheaper where the locals drink (or a bit further out of the centre).
March 8, 201115 yr Had a ball about 5 yrs ago, one of the better places, it's huge, but taxis are cheap. We stayed in Pest, but there is an outdoor nightclub just over the river in Buda, think the club was called Buda too. Need to be there in summer for that one. It's not like Prague, all quaint and pretty, but plenty good bars and clubs, decent grub too. And cheap as chips when I went.
March 8, 201115 yr I may be half cut on a drink and pasty and pea supper fuelled rampage in the Leigh darts and dominos league tonight, but I can recall having a brilliant time in Budapest about three years ago Pest is the superior, but Buda will be much cheaper, but none of these places are two groats a pint like they were eight or ten years ago when I first went out into eastern europe Not that it's much of an attrction for a stag do, but on the outskirts of the Buda side is a park which is filled with all the communist era statues, rather than clod em all away they gathered them together and put them on display, Marx, Stalin etc, beltin it is let's see, what else do i rememeber, oh aye the red bull air race was on, 3/4 of a million people on the banks of the river watching these moonmen fly planes

Was about a 20 min walk from anything decent though but there's trams / underground all over the place. The whole trip was pretty cheap actually.

I did get a free Father Christmas hat though.
