Mounts Kipper Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Claude Mak?lel?, Nicky Butt, Mascherano, Flamani, Gattuso Not saying Fabrice is anywhere near the class of the above, however none of the above were viewed as great passers or goal scores. They had a job to do and let other players get on with that nonesense. Just always seemed to me people expect a little to much from FB. Strange really that he has not excelled in the current formation under Coyle as a deep lying defensive midfielder is something we seem to be crying out for to sit and assist the centre halfs once our fullbacks and all the midfield are left up from when we lose the ball. If I was manager I would fine Fabrice everytime he passed the ball more than 5 yards and crossed the half way line Spot on post I agree 100%

(if it's true, obviously) Edited May 25, 2011 by TheReebokBear
bwfc_forverer Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I've seen him play right back a bit at sunderland this season and he looks pretty good there, better than what we've got anyway. He could also provide cover for cb should we get injuries so, IMO, it would be a good signing + 20 mil. Also says we want boyata on a seasons long loan. Having said all that it's probably a load of bollocks
jules_darby Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Nedum's a very good player Always rated more highly than Micah Richards by most of the City back room staff

Having said all that it's probably a load of bollocks I think its the other way around, he's more of a centre-back than a right-back, but does play in the latter position. Wikipedia reckons he can also play left-back (we'll need possibilities there if Alonso's troubles continue and Robinson's form remains as it was in the last few games. Ricardo staying on may also assist occasionally)
