I like Louis Theroux documentaries but he ask some stupid questions.

He is the Diddles of the interviewing World.

 

He pretends to know what he's talking about but as soon as he opens his mouth it's obvious the guy is clueless about that side of life!

 

It was good viewing though, there are some fuckin severely dangerous men in there. And without wanting to sicken anyone, they are ALL black.

They are, he ask questions in such a way to relate to the person bring interviewed,which usually gets the desired response that makes for good tv.

I think that he knows exactly what he's doing, but plays the part of being a bit naive/innocent so that his subjects relax & open up to him.

He appears extremely ignorant to other walks of life. I can't see how contradicting a black blokes upbringing and values in a deprived area would relax them.

 

But then again, he's been like that in a lot of the stuff he does. I'd say he is more naive than clever in them instances.

Good word to describe anyone who honestly believes Louix Theroux is as ingenuous as he lets on. He's been doing this sort of weird shit for 15 years, I think he knows a thing or two about quite a few sides of life.

I can't think of anything more patronising that imagining these people are so depraved, so degraded, so animalistic, that the crap they collectively engage in constitute their 'values' and outsiders need to respect that.

 

Did you not watch last night? When he interviews people alone, they know what they have done, and do, is wrong. You don't need to treat them like animals to be able to understand them.
