Frankel

Featured Replies

How good is he? Will be watching tonight as, besides lumping on SYT at $1.48 for tomorrows race, I put a double on with Frankel just to make tonights viewing more interesting.

Always like owt in the Khaled Abdulla colours since the great Dancing Brave.

oh , this is good , be amazed if anything finished within 3 lengths of him , no price though so i think i,ll back excelebration e.w. . the race has to be watched .

Cheers Crampo. Only had a (near enough) even money double to makes tonights viewing more interesting.

I had read up on Frankels exploits and, even though I'll get labelled 'Odds on Bolty' again, I repeat that I just love watching the very best. An investment makes it more fascinating.

Frankel should absolutely breeze up today: hands and heels steering job IMO.

I do like Wootton Bassett though and I've taken a guaranteed 11/2 on it winning without Frankel, which seemed generous.

I've also gone for a small F/C of Frankel/Wootton.

I'd agree with all that.

Take Frankel out of the race, though, and it looks very open.

It'll be interesting to see what tactics they adopt with Frankel today. Cecil has been suggesting he didn't really want him to lead at Newmarket. He looks a fucker to hang onto, though, and it might not work out as expected if they try to settle him in behind and he doesn't like it.

I'll not be opposing him on tbe strength of that drivel, mind.

Bloody Hell, I've just looked on Betfair and Frankel is trading at 1.33 and the next nearest is trading at 15.0

it surely can't be that superior to the other horses in the field can it?

Yes.

Pissed it.

Pissed it.

It won, but it didn't piss it.

What happened to Wootton Bassett?

Never really got going, ended up about 6th.

Bugger

I decided to follow you lot blindly and had it in an e/w treble, which had started ok with Sweet Sanette coming 3rd earlier

Not had chance to look at anything so In trusted the educated word of WW's top tipsters! :D

A fool and his money...

Very apt with me is that saying at the moment :D

It won, but it didn't piss it.

I think he'll piss everything else, though.

Presumably the jockey won't ride a finish from six out in future!

You'd have to think he'd have won moonwalking if Queally had asked him to go at the two furlong pole instead.

Definitely went 2 furlongs early. Not sure the pacemaker idea worked. Might be better just to let him get out of the stalls and give him his head.

The margin didn't do him justice. Just look at the matchsticks lined up in his form and remember that there are a number of Group successes in there. He's a good miler alright.

I now have even money about SYT tomorrow which I find most agreeable. I would be very surprised if you don't see a dominant performance on Wednesday (in fact, dominant performances all the way to the Arc and he's good enough to do it again at Longchamps).

The breakaway tactic is the one they usually employ with Frankel in fairness. I just think he tired more today than usual and was in serious danger of getting caught. Another 100yds could have made a difference.

Still a top, top horse.

As for SYT, how the hell have you got even money, Bolty? 4/9 is the price here. I might have a punt on Rewilding at 9/2 without SYT.

Sorry mate - I thought I had explained. Besides lumping on SYT at 1.48, I also put a double (Frankel-SYT) on at 1.48 x 1.35 = 1.998. Hence the 'I have SYT going round at evens' comment.

Gertcha!
