When I rung up at the beginning of the week I was told if

I wanted do the pay monthly i could do it over the phone. Rung up yesterday and was told err sorry you'll have to come up in person to renew. Brilliant.

i actually bought on line and it was slick and painless

 

just needed some info before i could buy

you'd expect a multitude of operators from all the options you can choose from yet it's always the same 2 people who answer and you still have to tell them what you want (i.e. whats the point in asking to press 1 for home tickets etc)

The club will use a 3rd party supplier and probably make nothing. The 3rd party operator puts the system in, and takes the profit from the calls to pay for the system.

0844 numbers are a mximum of 5p per minute on a BT Landline. The 3rd poarty provider will not get any more than this amount.

So actually, it's a money earner for the bastard mobile company.

You can however typically pay 20-25p per minute on a mobile, depending who you are with and what tarriff you're on.
