Same day th'IRA said they had put some bombs on the motorway and got it closed. Remember the Charlton fan on crutches in the KB who had flown up because he didn't want to miss the last match at Burnden.

 

Set off from London late morning and drove up the A1 and across from around Leeds. Had a feeling the motorways might be a problem with the IRA threat.

 

Brilliant night on the Burnden Terrace. Very emotional. Still gets me when I watch the video ........ the music still haunts me -TV had 'This Used to be My Playground', the video used soundtrack from Schindlers List (or the other way round). Still reminds me of that last Burnden night when I hear either music.

Wish I could rewind back and start the last 16 years all over again, been a fantastic journey for the last 16 years.

 

Or even the last 20 years, Mounts.
