Don't watch the race from the finish line

You will love it

If you'd backed every runner in every race at Cartmel this year, you'd have made a profit!

Went on a work doo last year - McCoy had three races so I stuck my entire day worth of betting money on a treble and made a bundle - got smashed and was sick on the coach going back.

Loved it. Weather was like this too so had a cracking time.

HEARD IT'S VERY BASIC BUT A GOOD LAUGH ALL THE SAME. HAVE A GOOD TIME MATEY.

I went to this meeting last year. Lovely racecourse and some decent real ale in a tent near the stand by the finish line.

What a Steel at about 19s on the Tote paid for the day and plenty left over. Its in the 5 day declarations

Quite a lot of outsiders won I think - first race won by one (Epee Celeste - also in the 5 days decs) that was described as a no hoper by the RP. Good luck in the pubs near the track - expect it will be heaving.

Edited by magic legs

bloke from work is going, says the village gets heaving but it must be a good do as he goes every year.

...but it must be a good do as he goes every year.

And thousands of people take their summer holidays in Blackpool.

I wouldnt class it as a serious race meeting.

However when the sun is shining its a great  family day out, there is a fun fair in the middle of the course for the kids, a market for granny, you can take your barbie with you and its in a great setting. To top it off, on the way home  stop for fish and chips next to the viaduct in Arnside whilst the kids play on the beach.

In conclusion Ascot its not but a good family day it is.

I prefer it to Ascot.

Ascot is full of snobby cunts, Royals included.

Haydock Saturday for me, Madness are playing.

Haydock for me as well Tomorrow :drinks:
