Reet I'm moving next Saturday

Been told to cancel my sky. Get it in the new place in the FPO's name. Get a better deal as a "new" customer. When they fit it, ask them to pop the box I have already in another room for a few quid

Does that sound like the best idea?

And no I don't want BT / Virgin etc....cheers

Baz will have a great Virgin deal, though

I was advised to do it,  then I rang them to tell them and they said, nar you're reet, stop on the same account and we'll give you a good deal plus you'll have the years of loyalty on the record.

Even Bazer reckons I have a good deal off them last time I mentioned it.

To use your second box you need a second feed from the dish

Then to use it proper you need the multiroom subscription or the card you have will only get you bbc1, the test card, gay rabbit, and a shopping channels.

Hmmmmmmm shopping channels and gay rabbit you say.....

I cancelled mine at home giving them a months notice.

they've come back with either 6 months free or half price for 12 months. Both on a month by month contract so Ive take the free opton and will cancel again in 5 months to see what they offer then.

I love Sky

Did the same last week. Rang them up to say that I don't watch Movies any more and wanted to cancel, they came back with an offer of £1 for six months.

Give em a ring every few months pleading poverty and you'll get a tidy discount.

Under no circumstances switch to Virgin. That is the sum total of my advice!

The virgin sales people are numb though if you know the slightest thing about other packages or anything technical they fold and give you anything you want. I called them up the other week with an "intermittent problem" they soon advised me that I had a weak signal (nothing I'd known about) so I give them the old "This is not the service I expect for the money I paid" and also mentioned that my packet loss was way to high (dont even know what packet loss is) and they upgraded my V+ box downstairs to a 1gb Tivo box, let me put the V+ box as my second box and return the standard box I was currently using, upgraded my broadband to 60Mg and gave me a permanent loyalty discount so I was paying less than I was at the moment. I swear someone must have got the sack for that one.
