I had a season ticket for NW Group through to Final. And, like now on & off, was in hospital (bad back). I never got to Bromwich St. but got out for final Group game through to Final.

That area went many moons ago as mounts said. Remember watching Neil whatmore training there when I was at primary school. He sat down next to us for a rest. It was the first time id ever seen anyone work so hard and sweat so much. Was running off his chin in a stream not droplets. Never forget it. Later on used to walk that way to burnden and would always think of him whenever we went past the site.

My aunt's house used to back onto the pitches on Bromwich Street.

Bloody priceless that Mounts. Brought back come great memories.

 

Football was magical for me them days and to see world greats playing on our training ground will live with me forever.
