Never knew they existed til this weekend

 

Up near Barrow for a wedding this weekend at some posh country mansion type place that wanted £210 to stay the night

 

Mrs Manc booked us a cheap hotel that turned out to be a Spoons

 

£54 for the room compared to £79 for a Premier Inn

 

Thumbs up from me. Way better than the usual budget chains

Stopped in one in Kings Lynn, was decent enough and better than most budget hotels

I use one in Thirsk for the races.

Stayed in one in Bridgend a few years ago, absolutely spot on.

The one that a good number off here freqeunted at Hull away is becoming one

Used to stay in one near Worcester. Cheap some rooms decent some awful.

Spoons in Barrow is one of the cheapest pubs in town, locals put the windows through when the price went up to £ 1-80 a pint a few weeks ago.

Absolutely right. Bloody mental night out to be fair. You'd have thought all the nutcases from the Valleys would gravitate towards Cardiff but apparently not.
