Remember when we fielded Sasa Curcic and Scott Sellars in midfiled with Johansen and someone else who's name eludes me. Had all the skill in the world, but on a wet Xmas day fixture against a near neighbour - skill ain't the recipe needed.

That midfiled was powder puff and could not battle.

I see the same now.

Okocha is not a tackler - and should not be expected to be trying to win the ball back, chasing and hounding players. It's not his game. Why do we allow it?

Speed is going through a terrible time in midfield - he needs dropping - but have we got anyone to replace him? Makes me now wonder why we got him so easy from Newcastle.

Stelios - not good enough. Quite simple. He offers nothing. He doesn't take people on. His crosses are shite. He doesn't get in where it hurts. He looks constantly out of position.

Pedersen - same as Speed. Lost his form. Needs a serious kick-up the arse. I feel there is more chance of him coming good again, unlike Stelios.

Diouf - I actually feel that this guy is one who is trying. Funny, I'd never have thought it. I would keep him in the team.

 

As for the answers. Not sure. Do we have anyone at the club who can come into the midfield, roll his sleeves up and start kicking some butt? Could someone else do a better job as captain?
