Fixtures Availabel For Outlook

Fixtures for next season now available in outlook format.

1) go to http://www.gui-innovations.com/fixtures/bwfc2009-2010.vcs for Office 2007 or http://www.gui-innovations.com/fixtures/bw...outlook2003.vcs for earlier versions of office, and when asked please save the file

2) In outlook do File>Import And Export>Import an iCalendar or vCalendar file. DON'T double-click on the file or you will only get the first fixture (Outlook problem - not mine)

3) Click on 'Next'

4) Change the file type to vCalender format(*.vcs) in the 'Files of type' box, and select the file you saved (bwfc2009-2010.vcs)

Hopefully, your new fixtures should be imported into Outlook

Any problems, I'm sure somebody will let me know

Cheers

When do you get the message about the file being corrupt - when you start the import?

I also can't believe I spelled 'available' incorrectly :(

yes

i select the .vcs file from my docs and then i get the error message

OK - Try it again downloading http://www.gui-innovations.com/fixtures/bw...outlook2003.vcs

And see if that makes a difference

Works a treat.

Drew - can I ask where you disappear to between fixture release day each year? You come on with this great little programme each 12 months but then I can't recall seeing you again on the forum!

How do I get this on Thunderbird?

I THINK Thunderbird supports import vcs files, but you may well have to change the line...

PRODID:-//Microsoft Corporation//Outlook 11.0 MIMEDIR//EN

But to what, I don't know - sorry. Possibly try exporting to a .vcs and see what that looks like?

How do I get this on Thunderbird?

Fuck me, you'd think people want the site closing down. The fixtures are copyright and for some reason they are strict in enforcing this.

They'd been out since 10AM, do you really think no one had had the bright idea of actually posting them before?

Yeh but Athy wasnt the point we couldnt post the fixtures on here because its a breach of copyright :unknw:

Stirling effort Drew.

But try as I might, I cannot get passed the first fixture to download. It only seems to save the first one. Automatically opens it as an appointment.

And Firefox.....forget it.

Hi,

you are probably double-clicking on the file when you download it. Do an import, as the instructions say
