Worst Posting Record On Ww?
breezeblock replied to Northern Dancer's topic in Behind The Stands - 'Classics'
0.01 posts a day since May 2005. Fucking beat that. Actually that stat has probably changed just by posting this. Bollocks... -
I've been trying to get Michael to meet up with me for a drink for some years now but he keeps finding excuses not to show up. On a completely unrelated topic, does anyone know the shelf life of Polonium-210?

Mk Dons Win Johnstones Paints Trophy
breezeblock replied to trotter58's topic in Terrace Talk - 'Classics'
Yeah, but Megson's just a bit rubbish and he has a sound history of being rubbish. If Paul Ince took over from Megson, kept us up and then next year got us into the Champions League...and then the season after we won it, as well as the League, the FA Cup and the League Cup...Paul Ince would still be a c.unt. It's like a personality tattoo - it could only be removed by death. And a horrible death at that. -

"Who's that c.unt who manages MK Dons?" "You mean Paul Ince?" "Yeah, that's the c.unt." ...could easily be transferred to: "Who's that c.unt who has taken over at Bolton?" "You mean Paul Ince?" "Yeah, that's the c.unt." ...and would any of us really want that? -
I think the major complaint was that it looked too much like Milan Mandaric. Lookng at it again it does look a bit like Eddie Davies. I'll have a gander on Ebay now to see if someone is selling it.

What way should it have ended? Fanfares? Fairy cakes? Celebrity guest appearances at half time? Maybe a life-size statue of Sammy Lee (wouldn't cost that much - hardly any raw materials needed)? It had to end some day - same as it will for Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Blackburn, Reading, Wigan, Birmingham, West Ham and in fact all except a select few. Being in the top flight is precarious and slippery and our time there was always likely to be limited. This is a new phase in our history and most of my best memories of supporting Bolton have come from getting into the Premier League rather than actually being in it.

The last time we were in the 2nd Division/League 1/Championship I remember feeling always full of optimism and there seemd to be an awful lot fewer moaners and whingers. Just those two things make me less terrified of relegation.

By which bookmaker?
-
Do we have to shut down the club if we get relegated? Everyone is acting like this is the end of the road for BWFC...and yet if we go down we'll be instant favourites to go straight back up. Unless you're 18 you've seen all this before...the journey begins again! Chins up.

I've been on quite a few BWFC messageboards and forums over the years and they have all pretty much travelled in the same direction this season...we hate Lee, Megson, Gartside, Davies, Reebok, pies, foreign kiosk attendants, etc. Now there's nothing wrong with a moan (I moan more than most) but it's become evidently clear that the biggest moaners and whingers and the most militant fans on the internet all have one thing in common of late: none of them actually go to the matches. Make of that what you will - I'm note sure myself what it means - but it strikes me as strange that the angriest of web posters are sat at home when the rest of us are sat in our seast at the Reebok.

Less Chance Of Getting Tickets Now
breezeblock replied to LeggyMountbatten's topic in Europe 2007-08
The price includes a match ticket as well. I've never understood this bit...basically anyone who goes with TMG get priority tickets then and those who travel independently are put into the pot afterwards, as opposed to at the same time. I can understand the logic but TMG treat you like dribbling retards, herding around a city acting like a mixture of expert tourguide and stern nanny... -
I just came on to steal some flight information. At the rate the costs are rising I'll have to increase the limit on my credit card every 20 minutes just to book a flight. Which journo was this?

I slipped into a coma after a particularly tricky episode of Street-Cred Suduko. I thought I was a goner until a re-run of Quincy QC that pretty much saved my life.

It's not the same airport anyway. Sorry, that was a bit anal of me.

I doubt Chelsea will suffer any trouble because Frank Arnesen (sp?) - from the evidence/tape shown tonight - can quite easily offer an excuse that he was speaking hypothetically about a deal for the 15 year old Middlesbrough lad and that the agent had omitted to tell him he was still under contract. We all know he was making a deal but he never actually said "We would like to offer.." instead the agent prompted a segmented quote of "We could do ??150k over three years..." It was such a vague conversation that Arnesen can slip away of any blame it using a basis of ignorance. Same maybe goes for Liverpool but the BBC didn't seem to want to show us much of that evidence despite it being hugely important.

It was all bollox about Sam. In fact they struggled to connect him with anything his son was doing/had done. That said, they suggested enough for Sam to be investigated by the FA which means bad news for BWFC. "Daddy..." "Yes Craig lad" "I've been a naughty boy, Daddy" "Too right you have, you big mouthed tw.at"
-
If it was all bluster then Sam is going to have to launch one big, big lawsuit to clear his name. And Chelsea should be primed to be docked three points...and Craig Allardyce is favourite to be found in a Maserati B-Turbo Spider parked up Rivi with the engine running and a hosepipe leading from the exhaust...

2 East Stand Lower Tickets for sale at face value
breezeblock replied to breezeblock's topic in Terrace Talk - 'Classics'
"Leave your email address or mobile if you want them..." -
I've got two tickets in the East Stand for tomorrow - selling at face value = ??32 each. I got them for my Dad and his mate but my Dad has extended his holiday in Switzerland and his mate is nowhere to be contacted (so bollo.cks to him!). Leave your email address or mobile if you want them...first come first served but I want to sell them together to save me the aggro of meeting two people. I'm gonna be in Barnstormers from about 1.30pm. And they're for Bolton fans only of course.
