  1. Not suicidal - just desperate to find places to hide. Worry not. I can sniff the fuckers out like a bloodhound

Not just neighbours either - workmates, clients - you name it.

I told them for years "Once Warne and McGrath have gone, you'll be fucked. It's a cyclic thing. I'll be waiting - payback's a bitch"

They find me standing behind them like the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper with manic eyes and a vengeful smile  :D

  2. It will probably surprise few that I believe we are nailed on certs for at least a playoff place this coming season.

My glass is always at least half full.

If anyone matches Carlos' 50 quid and wants more on, I'll match it no problem.

  3. Wiggins couldn't even be arsed to turn up to the training camp for the Giro, then rode like a little girl and sabotaged Uran's race. Quite a hard man to feel sympathy for given his track record of poor teamwork. He can't be arsed if he's not number 1.

Could probably be a Mod anthem that. The eternal struggle to be No. 1.

    Top drawer lad is Wiggo.

  4. You're right, the racism and the sectarianism is off-putting.

Why are so many English folk all of a sudden spouting how much they love Rangers?

All of a sudden? How old are you son?  We were travelling up in numbers in the late 60's and early 70's.

For most, more of an anti IRA therefore anti Celtic thing. For others, family connections.

Always the first result I look for after the Whites.

  5. FFS, I was happy for you lot getting a proper summer for once.

Every year I have nearly 6 months of this, often with a two week period of 40C+.

Now I concede that they are geared up for it down here with aircon etc. but I honestly thought you'd be loving this fine spell.

Never mind, you'll soon be moaning on here again after two weeks of rainy days.

  6. Miami - even though our openers seem to be firing blanks at the moment, the Aussies are already conceding defeat. This does not make me go easy on them. Efforts redoubled

There is significant infighting in the Aussie camp. Rumoured down here that Clarke nearly took the quick way out and wanted to walk when Arthur went. Cricket Australia talked him out of it - rumoured to be with financial enticements. All sorts of other rivalries in the camp - two or three cliques/cliches/quiches.

They are a shambles - hence my earlier comment that 117-9 was a true measure of their ability. Fuck them. I want us to humiliate them. I had 20 years of pain to cope with (note - never admitting defeat and never taking a backward step) so I have a lot of repayments to make. Hoping for a 5-0 whitewash.

Can any of you true stattos tell me what the biggest fourth innings chase has been at Lords in an Ashes test? Just curious on where we need to be. Something tells me that we may already be there.

  7. Hope the cunt gets smashed every day and his life is an absolute misery.

Not really concerned that the perpetrator(s) might get longer sentences because of it.

Apart from noncing and killing/battering children, there's not much lower than what those horrible bastards did.

  8. Lot of people changing their tune now it's going great for the lad.. WELL DONE JAZZA

No doubt you are premature in all things? You certainly were with the DW winners.

It's the first day and he's had a shag. Hardly happy ever after. He might end up with an 8 ball taped in his gob and a pool cue up his clackervalve tonight until such time as he gives them all of his bank details.

Like the vast majority on here, I will be chuffed if it actually works out; all above board and she becomes a McCeaucescu.

I wouldn't be betting my life savings on it just yet.

  9. All this hassle with Chelsea before my time must have played a part in the shenanigans on the old open end at Fulham in 75/6 as a 11 year old lad I'd travelled on the supporters club on my own it was a lovely sunny day I was dressed in my wide bottom trousers and Royals thinking I was the dogs bollox, stood behind the goal prior to kick off when from behind a big CHELSEA chant went up, I looked round to see a mob of blokes windmilling through the Bolton fans the sparks flying off my segs (think thats we called the metal tips to protect the soles) as I left my viewpoint with indecent haste before I had my nose broken. The police gradually restored order and the game seemed to go peacefully, I'm blaming Bolty and the old boys for this close call with the Chelsea mob.

Plenty will remember their pitch invasion at Burnden. They chased the dings out of the Lever End but weren't game enough to have a go at the Burnden Paddock.

I suppose that was me and the old boys fault too?  :D

  10. I KNOW ITS A BIT OF A LONG SHOT BUT DOSE ANYONE ON HEAR HAVE

    LIAM NEESON,S number

i think we may need is help

TAKEN 3 staring JAZZA the ORGAN DONOR

There's no need to start fucking writing in Rumanian.

  11. How many did we take for that game? Were Bolton fans organised back then for the trouble or was it just a day out on the piss and see what happens?

More a case of certain mobs from different areas of Bolton. As Zulu will confirm, we had a Tonge Moor/Tonge Fold/Breightmet loose alliance thing going on when it came to following BWFC.

In general though in those days, we had a largely skinhead/suedehead/smoothie type following who were as game as they come. Didn't matter where we were playing - even midweek matches of substance would usually have a good away following.

You start to sound like your average hoolie book writer of more recent times but I assure you, we were a respected force to be reckoned with in those days. We seemed to have a higher average of nutters than most.
