I fancy Steel Blue in the 3:20. Won three days ago and was second the outing before that over the same trip and ground at Thirsk and Carlisle. Otherwise, Desert Commander in the same race looks in with a decent chance.

:yahoo: I hope everyone was on this..?!! She's in great form at the minute. She has one called Davidia running in the 3 o'clock at Newton Abbot tomorrow afternoon. He finished 9th of 12 (118.5 lengths behind) in his first race (and first race of his career over hurdles) for Mrs Thorpe last time out so I'm not expecting him to win. However, he'll surely be better for that run and Thorpe is in cracking form at the minute. Also, the competition is hardly dazzling. I'll be having a small place bet.

Ruby Dante runs in the 3:25 at Market Rasen tomorrow for Mrs Thorpe. She's had two wins and one 2nd place in her last 4 outings and should handle the step up in trip. The top two weights, Browneyes Blue and Sabre Hongrois, probably rate at the main dangers but have both had a big handicap imposed after recent good form. Projected SP of 6/1 looks a very good price for Ruby Dante.

And you were right mate. Thankfully Gold Gun managed to recoup my losses from the previous three selections (Storm Talk was a non-runner) so it wasn't a total disaster. She's got one more running this afternoon, Peephole in the 4:50 at Perth, which is currently 12/1. Probably not worth much more than a small place bet/each way bet as he's up against some decent enough horses.
