  1. I will do but, surely, as soon as I start putting them on here they'll hit a horrific barren spell...
  2. Chris Cook from the Guardian picked Frozen Fire for yesterday's Derby and it was trading at 28s earlier in the day. On a slightly different note, The Guardian's tipsters and Ron Cox in particular are in absolutely scorching form at the minute. It's not saying much, but they're streets ahead of Valuescope for decent tips and sensible analysis.
  3. Oh dear, do we really have to do this again? 2:30 - Stimulation 3:05 - Heaven Sent 3:45 - Ask 4:55 - Bahamian Babe
  4. 2:30 Tariq Unplaced 3:05 Fleeting Spirit Third 3:45 Twice Over Third 4:20 Smokey Storm Unplaced 4:55 Mamlook Second
  5. Has to be Fleeting Spirit for me. Sensational at Haydock (set the track record after a slow start) and I doubt anything can catch her. Takeover Target didn't beat much in a weak King's Stand a couple of years ago and he won't be good enough here. But I suppose it depends how many drugs they can get down him before the race...
  6. Both Holland and Itlay to "win to nil" for me tonight. Can't see Romania scoring and France are abysmal. 10 quid on for a 50 quid profit.
  7. I have also earmarked Viva Ronaldo (even though the prospect of betting on that name turns my stomach) together with Inspirina in the last at York.
  8. Can people please stop this bollo?ks after-timing. It' s really beginning to wind me up.
  9. Good third place for a nice 20-odd quid profit I wouldn't give up quite yet mate.
  10. I'm sure the report said it was on account of him scoring in the final and converting a penalty in the shootout would've counted.
  11. Not seen this anywhere else but it was reported on radio 5 live this morning that we would've received an additional ?1 million from Chelsea if Anelka had converted that penalty the other night. I'm guessing that's why we've not heard anything about season ticket prices yet. Don't expect any reductions
  12. It'll piss it as it's far too classy for the rest so just back it to win for the 50 quid profit. EDIT: I just realised that it's just come in and won by 4 lengths. Nice profit on the day, cheers Traf
  13. Unnefer in the 2:15
  14. Metropolitan Man would have won if he had a bit of luck in running. He was closing all the way to the line after getting trapped on the inside for most of the race. Good profit, though, so cheers Traf
  15. Should I be pleased that Value Scope has got the same as me? I suppose it means I'll have to get my bet on sharpish before the price plummets further
  16. As an outsider/place bet, I really fancy LEADING MAN (currently 16/1 with most) in the Scottish Grand National. Ferdy Murphy certainly proved last year that he can get them ready for this race and this looks the best of his two. He is quite lightly raced since his last win, 2 1/2 years ago, but he's now only three pounds higher than he was then. Trip and ground shouldn't be a problem.
  17. Justin Rose has led the Masters on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at different tournaments so he obviously knows what to do out there. If he can put it all together he could spring a surprise. 33/1 with most. 6/1 for top European.
  18. It's now 5-3 to Atletico but Almeris have had two men sent off. Of course, nothing could beat Grand Slam Sunday for excitement...
  19. I think Aintree will suit Joe Lively quite nicely and he can hopefully make up for his last couple of outings, which have been disappointing to say the least. On form from Cheltenham, Albertas Run must be the one to beat, though.
  20. I'm going tomorrow, which is a much better day of racing than the Saturday. Looking forward to seeing Master Minded again having been at Cheltenham a few Thursdays ago when he destroyed the rest in the Champion Chase. Anyway, my thoughts for the National (for what they're worth): Mon Mome at 25/1 looks a good value bet. Although this is Aidan Coleman's first ever ride in the National, he has proven himself to be an outstanding talent already this season and it would be no surprise to see him do well in the National. Mon Mome has had a quiet season and should be fresh after his decent run at Cheltenham in the William Hill Trophy. Has won at Aintree before, acts on all grounds and Venetia Williams will have him primed. Fundamentalist at 50/1. On jockey bookings, this looks the Twiston-Davies horse to be on. TD/Brennan combination has been outstanding in their first full season together and TD is a definite Grand National specialist. My only concern would be that Fundamentalist ran twice at Cheltenham and so may not have enough left in the tank for this one. However, he ran two very good races at Cheltenham including a 3rd place in the Racing Post Plate. Bewleys Berry at 14/1. 2nd to Mr Pointment at in the Becher last November and, although Mr Pointment has since been disappointing (stuffed by Cloudy Lane at Doncaster), BB will reverse that form now in receipt of 11lbs from Mr P. He was going really well before falling in last year's National and should hopefully go better this time around. Hi Cloy at 66/1 as rank outsider bet for a possible place.
  21. Cheers mate
  22. Well, Leading Authority ran into a place but the winner was just that bit too strong.
  23. :good:
  24. I'm also on The Jazz Musician. Tizzard has got another couple running later on in the day at Chepstow: Leading Authority in the 3:35 and Bring Me Sunshine in the 4:10. I would expect both to go decently and run into a place.
