their prices are just high.you could get a new system fitted and when the installer guarantee runs out,then take up the insurance with gas board.last time i looked it was about 13 pound a month.if you have a pal in the trade then you are sorted,its just getting a gas engineer out on xmas day.i wouldnt like to pay the bill.its something that we dont budget for,like the washer breaking down or the fridge packing in.every pal i know could find me a job when i visited,thats why i leave my tools in the van on friday night,me finished.its a good cop out ..

cheap that pal,not the cheapest around are vailliant.gas board would of done you for about 3 grand.paid 700 for my boiler and fit it myself.what i do for a living.worcester man me,each to their own.you need to be looking at a condensing boiler these days.get it registered as well by the installer,with corgi and the manufacturer.some boilers come with extended guarantee.hence the purchase price.better parts fitted,it all adds up.
