  1. would of cut is the full past participle; but technically only cut is the verb You are missing the point here. It is not would of cut but would have cut. I read a lot about patriotism on here but some are not patriotic enough to learn our language. anyone over the age of 4 is well aware that was the fault in that clause; i was simply pointing out what the verbs were, as was originally asked
  2. would of cut is the full past participle; but technically only cut is the verb
  3. Could somebody tell me what the verb is in the above sentence. "are" "cut"
  4. wanted to go and play again for his mentor Joe Royle and he'd done such a good steady job that portsmouth were happy to let him go? stop trying to argue black is white mate
  5. cash is cash; must be cheaper to pay someone else until january than pay off this club to the degree they expect we offered ??400,000 for this lad 18 months ago; a lot of money for a norwegian club easy to understand if they're not all that pleased with procedings
  6. he's signed as a free agent, and his old club are most likely not very pleased if i were them, and 4 years old, i'd spite us too hence a nice solution like that for us probably wasn't first on their agenda
  7. he's signed for portsmouth now so to summerise; we wanted to trail him before shelling out; kaizer chiefs weren't all that pleased, sold him to portsmouth rather briskly; we attempted to say we just told him to fcuk off
  8. can't play till jan 1st; staying on at his old club till october
  9. it's not a case of defending the indefensible so far he's spat at some people, been accused of spitting a bit more, and been accused of some vague assault by a woman with a rather dubious story if he starts repeatedly drink driving, killing people as a result, or actively beating people up, then i'll get worried by his behaviour
  10. sounds a little bit on the bullshitty side tbh 25 days rest; i wish the doctor would prescribe that to me
  11. what mr jayjay said *officially not quite senile yet*
  12. maybe i'm going senile, but is that not the exact same link as above, with the same information that's already been copied and pasted in to the thread?
  13. another one as well http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~682653,00.html must be confident about them, can't remember getting official notice of trail periods before
  14. i can't see anyone being prepared to pay 8 million for crouch. i can see a queue at ??6million though i'd rather have 6 or 7 punts at foreigns like this zambian lad, if they're well scouted and have a genuine chance of turning out alright
  15. i'm surprised all the liverpool fans are buying the massive press offensive the club are giving out beneath-us wants shot of him so he's got ??35m to spend the club just messed him about till he asked to leave, then pretended they always wanted him
  16. 64 verses 12 actually comfortably within the poissan rule for statistical analysis, although i'll admit the overal sample size is a little small nevertheless, the percentage differences are extremely marked, and it only cororolates with what i've seen of him on the pitch you disagree, fair enough, but don't knock statistics, argue for some intangible greater value, people always love that kinda stuff cya
  17. yeah, i can see how producing facts based in reality would make it seem like i have an irrational dislike of the bloke i'm sure he's lovely, i just don't rate him as a player as highly as everyone else seems to
  18. i tell a lie it was actually 62% verses 40%, with a similar trend the season before the more you look it up, the more he seems like liverpool's okocha http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.a...l=football_home
  19. makes a team tick? he believes his own publicity and plays like a one man band without him last year, liverpool won 55% of matches, scoring more and conceding less on average with him, they won 45% of matches he makes the team tick 1 match in 10 and everyone marvals at it, but for the most part he's a glory hunter
  20. Chelsea's new piece of meat over-rated for me; always plays like he's the only player in the pitch capable of winning it for his team, consequently avoiding the easy passes and making silly mistakes
  21. plenty on this one on the rivals site
  22. we are, but we don't have bizzare pretentions to being off limits for purchase United, however, now are off limits:D
  23. that report is full of laughably biased phrases, and some of the interest estimates are laughable i especially enjoyed the suggest that if he only serviced the debt without lowering it, the repayments would increase substantially after 7 years was this written by a drunk monkey? good riddense to bad rubbish if it is that bad for united, but i don't think we're that lucky
  24. Just seems a little light weight for me to ever make it. But who am I to judge, I thought Jardel would be the answer!!! i can't understand the light weight tag on vaz te at the under 21 tournament last month he was holding it up like a brute at one point he pretty much wrestled the ball off the keeper when they both jumped for it, then protected it he looks a pretty big unit to me, i'm not gonna argue he's alan shearer, but he seems a million miles from lightweight
  25. maaarsh replied to a post in a topic in Terrace Talk - 'Classics'
surely to be banging your head against a brick wall implies forced repetition? anyway i'm not arsed either way, but fadiga, it could be argued, has played at a high level abroad vaz te and o'brian, when it really boils down to it, may well be held in high regard amongst the fans, but as yet haven't done anything that several other youngsters have done before here i personally think they'll make it and look forward to that, but removing them from the squad when considering depth isn't a ridiculous move, just a matter of half empty or half full preference
