I don't know much of Smolarek , but i always thought he was a striker Think the boos when he came off was due to people wanting JOB off and then put Riga and Smolarek along side Davies for more of an attacking threat , saying that we did better when he came off and the brilliant Riga came on . I was beginning to think that Riga would be like Wilhelmsson and Braaten , not given a chance , when they do they don't take it , but he's looked impressive nearly all time . Hope Smolarek can be given more games to bed in team , but when Taylor and Elmander return , Megson will have to think about how he's gonna leave certain players out . Well he can firstly start with JOB he is not needed imo

If Riga's shot ended up in back of net after Vaz Te's nice run and cross he would of got a lot of praise , i think is chance was a 50/50 chance of going in , there were players around the keeper aswell and he problt got caught in 2 minds , he scored 2 in his last 2 games for the reserves and Portugal u21's so maybe that's why Megson gave him a run out . I think Nolans chance , the one after Gardners mazy run was just the same , came to him a lot of time to pick his spot and produces a fine save but he had more of the goal to aim for . I think bringing on a Vaz Te for 20 minutes is more positive then a Helguson/McCann player .

I think there were 2 players online so even if Vaz Te got it passed Almunia it would of had to be perfectly placed , if he stopped as he had time he could of laid it off for Riga though .

I have a great feeling this guy is gonna have the same ore that Jay Jay Okocha had , he has the ability to be a fantastic player for us and imo and id guess the majority deserves a start in the next game even if it is unlikely we will get anything from Old Trafford . He was brill today , great energy and pace , nice run and curling shot and an unlucky shot deflected for a corner after great play from Vaz Te. Riga , Elmander and if Nolan puts away these chances he his getting and we won't go far wrong plus that kinda noise and spirit from the fans will give the lads so much belief which showed at times but not enough in 2nd half , just need to sort out our defence ( which should improve once Cahill returns ) 'cos to many times today we let Arsenal come at us and get in behind us or cut inside and the marking was non existence . Im back after a month to cool down i won't be childish anymorw and try to give more contributions to this forum . Megson must start him from now on and when we get our players injured back , i can't see us being in to much trouble , but 4 points from 5 isnt great , just need to keep the work effort and do some more work on being a bit more attacking as sometimes we seem to have no one upfront when we counter as we have everyone back in our half .

Worst performance ever Only Brown and Gerrard did anything of note . Lampard , Beckham , Barry were all rubbish , We had few chances in 1st half , mainly Defoe and Gerrard , but that 2nd half was hard to watch . Bring through the players like Agbonlahr , Young and Walcott , get some pace and creativity in there . Get Lampard on the bench , bring in Hargreaves when fit and put Gerrard in the middle , tell Rooney to stay up front or he'll get fined , and play 4-4-2 . Why was Beckham wondering to the middle and Brown playing further up pitch than him ? J.Cole should start he's quality Capello is doing just as worse as McClaren so far , ok there friendlies but they have been mainly poor and not very inspiring . I'll speak about that boring abysmal game in the match thread . But this about some of fans @ Wembley Lampard was crap no doubt , but if your gonna booo him when he get subbed , why did David Beckham get a loud cheer Beckham was our worst player , i woudln't even of give him a 0.5 out of 10 for that performance. If someone said to you Beckham is a great player who is a great passer etc and you watched him for the 1st time , you would turn around and give that guy who said he was good a slap . Maybe they were annoyed 'cos Capello is turning out to be another McClaren and we play rubbish like Heskey , and Gerrard play on the left when there are good players out there like Agbonlahor , Young , Bentley and Walcott . I think he played alrite , did a bit of skill near touchline and put N'zogbia through which was impressive and he looked solid and played the ball around well . Also think that was a decent result for Bolton , wouldn't wanna be going to Newcastle for there 1st game of season @ home when the've just lost .

I dont even think Cohen will play this season , he's terrible and JOB ( in midfield ) isnt that clever either , surely at home and Stoke we should play just 2 central midfielders and play Riga and Elmander . imo .
