If we do change our style of play , wouldn't we then not get the best out of K.Davies? We play to his strenght's and it brought us some vital goals last season . If we played a more tiki taka/easier on the eye game we would need more flair players , taking out players strenght's that suit our current style might not be good news in the long run. There was a move against Hibs , we're we did a nice little 1 touch passing combination [about 6 quick passes on the floor - pass and move] that looked better than anything Barca and Spain produce This season if can get M.Davies and Lee Chung Yong's passing ability to create more chances for Elmander , Muamba playing consistently like he did for England u21's and Taylor and Davies doing what they do best then we could be up for a great season . S.Davis looked a better passer against Hibs than i though he was . Our defence looks solid , so hopefully the midfield have more confidence in them , so they dont track back has much , leaving us with more players in positive areas of the field when we are attacking . We need more players closer to the frontmen so we can have more goal scoring chances [sometimes K.Davies plays as right winger and Elmander doesn't have players 10 yards close to help him] To change style would take a lot of time , different players , better players . There isn't the likes of okocha or Djorkaeff anymore , Our midfield is our main problem but it's not bad on paper , The thing is our style is that poor especially last season that only 1 or 2 better players and a slight change in style wont make any noticeable difference , Players play the way there ability lets them , you would have to change there mentality , there training ,there game . I think most fans problem with our style is the long ball stuff , the 10 men defending a corner and our 4-5-1 defend defend defend formation and questionable tactics . I can only think of Lee Chung Yong who is different to what we had last season , imo S.Davis , Robinson Ricketts are average so won't make much difference to the 1st team [ but decent cover] therfore how can Megson expect players to play a change of style when there football game is pretty much what Bolton's style is about . [ e.g K.Davies knockdowns from long balls] And what kinda style are we talking about ? More width , more compact , on the floor passing , 4-4-2 ?

AURA That's the word , thanks Riga is getting me off my seat at moment when i see him have the ball , kinda like when Okocha has it aswell . No comparisons but i think he can be a very influential player for Bolton , if given games and the support he'll need .

If Nolan and Muamba play , for me there is no need for JOB and McCann Megson played Diouf last season , so why not play Riga ? not many managers would swap an attacking player for a grafter or replace our striker Elamander with McCann , when we have attacking players in the squad .

All week , all year :::: The guy was unique in every way , when he was on form especially is 1st season , i was still @ school and Jay Jay was the talk of the school even the town , he was the most entertaining player we have ever had imo , he;s the most watched Bolton player on Youtube and i don;t know if you remember but all the pundits kept saying ( like des Lynam on the premiership on itv ) Okocha should be playing for Real Madrid or Chelsea he's that good , Is goals against Aston Villa and West ham still give me goosebumps when i see them . Me and my mates on premierfives would spend ages trying to master is signature trick , when i watched him play i got exicted and he made me laugh he was that good , if he was around now and played a season like his 1st and was english he would be sold at end of season for like 80 million . Shame Big Sam didnt tell ys he wasnt gettign a new contract so we could give him a farewell he deserved after that Brum game , i thought when he came back from African Nations and got a new haircut ( afro ) he started picking up his form again . The Spurs away game will forever live in my memory as will the Carling Cup semi final . Djorkaeff was also an amazing player . Man how bad our midfield has fallen .

Maybe , Don't think Muamba had the best of games today , he started well , he ran past about 3 players but then had no support so it didn't lead to any good but then he looked a little nervy and didnt help our defenders out either , Steinsson and JLS kept leaving gaps and kept letting the Arsenal players run in behind them and at times we looked like we had 4 center halfs rather than a spread out back 4 and the space they allowed Arsenal was very poor . Sometimes i feel midfielders and attackers are hesitant to play with more freedom and variety 'cos they not confident in the back 4 to keep things nice and tight so they can go and express themselves , im not saying this is the case with Muamba today or JOB but hopefully our defence looks better when Cahill returns , I also think Sh,ittu is not as good as Meite and looks like 20 stone and isnt mobile enough , I would of played Hunt at right back and Steinsson in the center with AOB , but shi,ttu was not as bad as Steinsson in that 1st half . 2nd half was an improvement attack wise but Arsenal had just as many chances , and if you count Steinsson goal as lucky we still havent scored a goal from open play yet in 5 league games yet . Which is a worry . Take away the Fulham game we are creatign chances , i really hope once Megson finally realises Riga is what we want and is better than certain players and Elmander is back our fortunes turn around . Were 1 point better off from last season , but not in the carling cup so it's pretty much same in terms of results , the players just need to show the belief they showed in fighting relegation
