  1. As I have already disclosed I work, primarily in the Middle Office of a Corporate Bank but since the start of the year I am on a management training programme and also on a special projects team (looking at efficiency and cost saving across the whole areas of the Bank whilst keeping the integrity, whatevers left after this recession, of the Bank in place), thus this takes me to the various offices across Europe (including Moscow). It also means conference calls to Head Office in Japan. I do have a property in Bolton, which is where I am currently based - working from home - but will be deployed to an office (more than likely London or Amsterdam or even Brussels) sometime in the Autumn (already been told - thanks to cost-cutting exercises :-( ). Amsterdam is the head Euro Office, although our London office has the most staff.
  2. My laptop, which I use at home, is works therefore I can assume that works are using a foreign ISP due to it being cheaper or something. Not uncommon as my previous employer also used an overseas ISP even for their laptops. Don't quite know how it works but, as I say, at home, cannot use the BBC/ITV Iplayers because they assume I am overseas - just putting that down to a foreign ISP.
  3. I am new on here so what does your job entail?
  4. Ferret Chutney, someone has done a list, on the BN site as well, of the possible ones from IOM! DutchWhites
  5. Kaboom - you looking for, there, Superjohn?
  6. aimed at ONE person only - the poster I was referring back to. It was not my intention to perceive the idea that everyone on here is that - but there are some and that poster is one. (referring to Gonk) And for Carlos.... I have explained that situation, if you do not believe me, that that you your own problem (but it does help to share problems like you do ) and not mine. btw (a technical question - as you seem to up on these things, Carlos, does it show ithe ISP address for the computer I am currently using - if so, that what is it?) Thanks Sjoerd.
  7. No you don't so that's a lie, isn't it?
  8. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i'm bored with you. you are no fun. need some proper adults to have a conversation with, rather than pre-teenage adolescents who know nothing more than just name-call anyone and everyone. (childish bit here: and that is FACT until you contradict because I say so and all I say if FACT) - now go away, on your fact-hunt, until you have something to say that is sensible and worth saying.
  9. Its just like banks throwing away customer deatils instead of shredding them, or ISP's letting slip what you see on the net (they already do collect information of what you view so that they can market you with various products specific to your interests), your employee giving out details of how much you earn etc etc etc Mistakes do happen, all down to human error - some costly some not. Yes it can be a scandal and then more procedure are put in place, but all in all mistakes are bound to happen - it human nature.
  10. I think he would be completely out of his depth in The Premiership. Its far too fast for his style of football.
  11. COMPLETELY WRONG, MATE! I was refering to the fact that someone said that finishing 3rd was poor. Love to see Bolton finish 3rd, but will probably never happen, no matter who is in charge. In fact, for this season, I am grateful for finishing 12th as it could have easily been much worse, but, yes, we could have finished in a higher position (although there are still 3 games to go and we could still finish higher). I will still argue the fact that its not really an improvement on last year - just about same level, as this season's PL has been very poor. Just hope next season we can do even better! I honestly do not care who is in charge, btw, but Megson's statistics are not that good at his previous clubs. And yes, my ambition for the club is to try to compete with the Big 4 (its not manadory) but it is a dream!
  12. so finishing about 12th is very poor, then?
  13. well have you found any proof to contradict me, yet? if not, then stop moaning about it
  14. Problem is that the UK are following the leads of Eueopean (including EU) countries where ID cards are madatory in that people still have to pay for them. NOthing is free in this world - unfortunately . Like everything else about the UK we were the forerunners and now we seem to lag behind the rest of the world, why?
  15. McClaren??? There again a good club manager just a very poor international manager Also with Van Basten it all depends upon which league he manages in. Some may say he is poor in the Eredvisie (but finishing 3rd in that, is not poor!) but he could actually be even better in other League - possibly La Liga, or even Bundesliga
  16. and French and German, yes even the Irish, and most other European except us British! There again chips with cheese and salad cream is gorgeous!
  17. so why are Isreal allowed to compete in many Euroepan competitions both football and non football? and it has nothing to do with the arabs not wanting them in the Middle East - yes they are an irritation but many arabs do accept them being there, for now!
  18. Two!!! One saying DutchWhites and the other saying Sjoerd Bosje!
  19. I agree with you on that but politically speaking Israel does contribute to many European competitions and as such, as I said very borderline.
  20. are you sure? I have always used it liked that and no one has ever corrected me before But yes I do mean hold/may never happen.
  21. As proof of who one is by the authorities. Even gaining a new Bank Card needs ID, withdrawing money over the counter needs ID, apllying or renewing Travel passes require ID. issuing cheques requires ID nowadays (not all places though).
  22. For identity purposes such as opening up a Bank account or for the simplest form of credit nowadays! (either passport or driving licence)
