Complete speculation here... but for me if I was one of the money men behind a consortium and we had Bassini fronting it, as soon as he started spouting all about it being just him and no one else fronting his alleged bid I'd have had a look at the shit storm that went down at Watford between him and the Russo Brothers and thought, feck that, not going there with him if he's not learnt from that... Is he though? He's also tweeting about being sceptical of anyone who comes forward to the press about these things...

He could easily of made £30m is he's flipping voids in social housing... Asset Investment company I work for does the same - we've probably made the owner of the company £15m in the last 9 months - we've diversified so probably spent approaching £10m on acquisitions, and I think its safe to say he's probably made people who came in on the ground floor with him millionaires (or close to) as well, so probably spent another £5m on the 5/6 staff who joined him on day 1... easily doable getting the £30m... Not a name I've heard as a competitor for us I must say, but doesn't mean he's not.

The problem is people have already seen what he is like because of what he did at Watford... KA's proved a leopard doesn't change its spots, people will assume the same of Bassini... Given all he's spouted is his innocence about everything, I get the distinct impression they may be right

I know a few Watford fans.. they weren’t great when he took over, by the time he left, see our current situation... possibly more comical, like members of staff refusing to give him keys to nick the petty cash so he called the police, but still a fucking mess. He’s better than liquidation at this point in time, but unless the funds are fully kosher, my concern is he just finishes Ken’s work for him...

@Howardroark are the EFL in on the share recall at all? I do a bit of M&A in the day job it’s not uncommon to involve certain stakeholders in discussions... may drag any decision on Bassini out
