  1. I'm also quite looking forward to tonight, for some weird reason. I've heard there will be a banner which is around 30ft x 4ft and it will just read "freedman out" it is supposed to come out around the halfway line in the ESU. It will be interesting to see if this banner appears, as the lad that apparently had it made, he's a bit of a rum one and he doesn't bull shit. Don't shoot the messenger though!
  2. I was really looking forward to going to Wolves on Saturday, but no way now. I was also going to miss tonight's game, which would have been the first home game I've missed in years, but I really wouldn't want to miss Dougie's last game for the world.
  3. Garvan should be a decent signing for us, he is more of an attacking midfield type, who should be able to at least pass the ball better than some of our other midfielders. I wouldn't be surprised to see us try and loan another Palace reject and Jonny Williams, would be my guess.
  4. Well, my mate's daughter who lives in Leeds and supports Bolton, she went to the game last Saturday and managed to speak to Mavies after the game. Mavies said he was fit and Dougie just didn't want to play him. I hope this is okay?
  5. I've heard Mavies is fit, but Dougie won't play him.
  6. Owen Garvan at Palace being linked with us once again, the article is in today's Sunday People. He's an attacking midfielder, just incase you didn't know.
  7. 10 games was my judgement time on Dougie too. 1 point out of a possible 15 is embarrassing. Dougie out!
  8. That list of players in last Sunday's People listed all the players that we signed last season. It didn't mention any of this seasons transfer targets. The only BWFC transfer gossip was about the swap deal involving Chungy for pilkington.
  9. This striker that Nixon has been hinting at us signing on loan, he's supposed to be youngish and a target man that is at a Premier football club. I like a bet now and then and my money would be on Chris Wood. Leicester are still sniffing around Troy Deeney and they're interested in another striker too.
  10. Nixon is quite reliable. I do follow him on Twitter and he does get quite a lot of stuff right. What I would take with a pinch of salt though, is when he does one of his so called specials, where he links us with a spectacular signing, which usually comes to nothing. Jordan Rhodes and Wilfried Zaha spring to mind.
  11. The article in the People says this:- Norwich want Bolton's South Korean winger Chung-Yong Lee - and may throw Anthony Pilkington into a swap deal. Lee is in the last year of his contract and Trotters boss Dougie Freedman is keen on wideman Pilkington, who would add pace to his side. Both players are rated at £1 million and transfer talks are now set to get serious.
  12. I wouldn't mind seeing Mason upfront with Chris Wood, but I doubt we can afford to buy either of them. Maybe 2 loans?
  13. I don't think this is a regular thing, but there is definitely travel for this fixture, from Leigh. I was brought up in Tyldesley, I lived on Hough lane, just a few doors away from the cemetery, btw.
  14. There could be 2 coaches going from Yates's in Leigh, not Tommy Burke's as I mentioned before. I'll know for sure this weekend, so I'll keep you all posted.
  15. I think there is a coach leaving from the Tommy Burke (Wetherspoons) pub in Leigh.
  16. Watford have signed a tidy striker in Javier Acuna, i think Watford will be thereabouts in the race for the playoffs at the end of this coming season.
