  1. I wonder why?
  2. "sit anywhere and join in" enough said really.
  3. You obviously didn't go to the game.
  4. It doesn't bother me. I really can't be arsed about finding YOUR seat, it was my mate who decided that he wasn't happy, but I'm hardly likely to let my mate and his daughter get a slapping too. Oh and my mate brought over a Brum steward and he showed the steward our tickets, he just shrugged his shoulders and fooked off! What exactly was he being paid to do?
  5. A great away day yet again. We went to the Cricketers pub and we had plenty of booze in there, the ginger guy with the beard, I saw him in the pub too and one of his mates was using a loudspeaker and singing Bolton songs, but the barmaids were obviously battle hardened and shouted "no singing in here!" We managed to try and get to our seats about 5 minutes before kickoff, but there were some young Bolton fans in our seats, probably aged around 19/20 or so. My mate wasn't happy and a big row broke out. My mate decided to give one of them a clip around the ear, like you do and a punch was thrown at my mate and unfortunately, it missed him, but hit his daughter instead, it kicked off and I had to calm things down, like you do. Anyway, we won one nil and the lad who accidently punched my mate's daughter, he came over after the game and he apologised and shook our hands. Away days are ace!
  6. This is the link I used. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p027s31c
  7. The home games were painful under Freedman and It became a chore to go to the games and I only live 12 miles away from the Macron. I go to plenty of away games too, but I decided early on in to this season, that I wouldn't be wasting my cash following us away whilst Freedman was in charge. Lennon has only been at the club for 5 minutes and he just fills me with much more confidence and I just can't wait for our trip to Birmingham on Saturday.
  8. I was very impressed with Lennon's interview on GMR. Just little things like having the under 21's training with the first team and staying over in the hotel prior to the league game and he did mention that he intends to play 2 strikers up front when playing at home. I'm glad he's already watched some of our games on DVD already, I mean he could have not bothered and instead had a game of ping pong letting the players wear their woolly hats.
  9. My mate picked our tickets up today and there will be 4 of us going by car from Leigh. We're setting off at around 11 ish and we will be heading for the Cricketers Arms. I went to this fixture last season and there must have been only around 300 or so of us as it was on sky, but it was still a great day out.
  10. My mate has just text me and we're going to Birmingham next Saturday. Can't wait now!
  11. Parker was a midfielder, but yes he played for Forest.

Ladbrokes now 1/10 for Lennon. "There's only one Neil Lennon, there's only one Neil Lennon"

I really couldn't give a shit about Lennon's religious beliefs tbh. The main thing is, can he do a job for BWFC? Imo I think he can and I would welcome him with open arms. My Mrs comes from Ulster and she is from a staunch Catholic family, I'm church of England. We've been married for 18 years and we've never discussed religion to this day.

I want Lennon in now. I'm getting quite excited at the thought of him being our next manager. I remember having a Bolton/Celtic Bob hat back in the 80's. Does anybody remember those?

That's quite a statement Pal, hope you're wrong like.

I agree, I would prefer a Mowbray, but I would much rather have a Lennon over a Hughton/ Clarke type manager. Brum Brum!

If we do manage to bring in Lennon, being a Bolton fan certainly won't be boring. I'm quite looking forward to the idea of having Lennon in charge, Lennon could be a car crash, but he could be the best thing that has happened at BWFC for years, this is getting quite interesting!

We need a hard man to kick some of our ponces up the arse! Mowbray would do this and Bruce Rioch once said “If I had to fly to the moon I’d take Tony Mowbray, my captain, with me. He’s a magnificent man.”

Garry Flitcroft now 5/1 from 33/1 with William Hills, wtf?
  20. Blondi replied to globaldiver's topic in Terrace Talk
Malky is probably too risky and I'd doubt he'd come anyway. Lennon is also a big risk as he's only managed in a pub league. I don't think we need to look much further than Hughton, Clarke or even Mowbray for a decent championship manager that should keep us up and hopefully make us a half decent team again.
  21. Blondi replied to globaldiver's topic in Terrace Talk
Hughton now 7/2 with some bookies, I think Hughton would fit the right criteria for our manger. He isn't a gobby manager and he did a great job at Birmingham on a tight budget.

Hi Casino, I've heard Steve Clarke is in the running too. My shortlist is Malky, Hughton, Lennon & Clarke.
  23. Blondi replied to globaldiver's topic in Terrace Talk
It looks like Malky Mackay, Chris Hughton & Neil Lennon could be on the short list. I think Nixon said that the managers we're interested in are all available, so presumably, this could rule out Keith Hill.

Nixon has just rubbished the Scott Green rumor and Phil Brown is NOT in the running. Just saying like.
