A few photos from today's training session. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2091031647431.114576.1594451449&l=8ac0ebf3b3&type=1 I will endeavor to post some more after tomorrows friendly - with any luck we'll win. The weather is predicted to be 95 degrees with 65 percent humidity which should make it feel like 99F( F - 37C we still use Fahrenheit, pounds, and ounces over here and refuse to change to that decimal crap. I've also arranged for the air conditioning to be turned off in the visiting team locker room, and have provided complimentary burritos with jalapenos for a pre-game snack.

Condolences on the loss to Stoke. On a brighter note - the cost for us to have you play a friendly is probably less than it would have been if you had advanced. Rumor is that there'll be some kind of announcement shortly

I'm a bit rusty with the vernacular, but I'll give it a try: "Fulham, fuck me" - The gentleman is expressing some surprise that Fulham would be considered for a friendly with the Dynamo. "It's be our work 5-a-side team next" - The gentleman is surmising that if Fulham is not available, the Dynamo would probably consider the 5-a-side team made up of workers at his place of employment. "As we've got a statue of Abe Lincoln outside" - The gentleman is undoubtedly referring to a statue of Abraham Lincoln, former President of the United States which is located outside his place of employment. Comment: I'll make a guess here, the Abraham Lincoln reference is probably a tacit acknowledgment that the gentleman making the "Fuck Me" comment is an official of Church of England or a member of Parliament (see attached Statue of Abraham Lincoln in Parliament Square, London - which is located adjacent to the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Cathedral) I could of course be wrong - it's been I while since I had the opportunity to converse in the mother tongue

Apparently we have reconsidered http://www.houstondynamo.com/news/2011/03/dynamo-notebook-watson-talks-back Bolton Talks Back On The Watson negotiations are not the only ones that have been revived recently. Although it was initially believed that a match against EPL side Bolton Wanderers was no longer a possibility following the season-ending injury to former Dynamo and current U.S. national team midfielder Stuart Holden, it turns out that there has been a change of heart. Canetti confirmed that the team is still in negotiations as they attempt to gauge whether Holden could recover in time for the match. The club also consulted with fans about the level of interest in a match that did not feature Holden. Canetti sought the opinions by meeting with the new Dynamo fan advisory board this week. ?Players count when it comes to international matches,? Canetti said. ?So we had a teleconference with the fan advisory board, and they were still in favor of it.? Canetti is hoping to come to a decision on the match by the end of the week, although the Dynamo are also in talks with other EPL clubs, including Everton (featuring U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard) and Fulham (two potentials draws: Nacogdoches, Texas native Clint Dempsey and Mexican international Carlos Salcido).

Tanglewood? That's about the same distance from the Rob that Bolton is from Manchester isn't it? Do you go to any Dynamo games? If not - can I interest you in becoming a Season Ticket Holder? There might be another Holden being trained by Dominic Kinnear (Geoff Cameron)

I heard yesterday that this game is all but signed in ink. If that is indeed true, how many of you are considering coming on over? As this will be a charity game, I'll be happy to provide up to 50 game tickets for your group - we'll give you a real Texas welcome.

The loss of the Dynamo to the Hollywood Beckhams that fateful day in November 2009 was most certainly not because of the superior quality of play of the Galaxy. There definitely was a conspiracy to give Beckham a chance at the 2009 MLS cup. The proof is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdt7Fqf2ask&

Eeerr sort of. But if you're coming over, don't expect it to be anything like the UK, about the only place commuter rail works is on the east coast. Passenger rail in these parts of the US is dead and there's perhaps one passenger train a day headed either West of East. Your best bet is to rent a car and pollute the atmosphere like the rest of us.
