  1. Revenge is in the air.
  2. Cheltenham relegated. 90th minute goal from Stevenage
  3. As are we unfortunately.
  4. I'd just like to see us regain control of this match. And stop picking up bookings.
  5. Close. We've been standing off them too much in the last 5 - need to tighten it up again.
  6. Interesting at the bottom too. Burton losing so Cheltenham just need a goal to save themselves as it stands.
  7. We've got to win our game handsomely first - and I expect there's a lot more to come from Peterborough yet.
  8. TBF to Carlisle they are giving it a proper go at Derby. More possession, shots etc and since the goal they've been attacking non stop,
  9. Thought Williams did a job on him - I'll have another look.
  10. Good pen - but it was soft TBH
  11. Q: If anyone gets sent off, are they illegible for the playoffs?
  12. LOVE that. Glad for Demps too - confidence boost.
  13. I disagree - she should have gone to the kitchen as suggested. In the kitchen she'd have found a large sharp knife with which she should have removed the little misogynist twats' left bollock and forced him to eat it at knifepoint. Maybe then he wouldn't have done it again? But as she probably didn't, I suspect he'll probably just grow up to be a bitter wife-beating toerag.
  14. I remember him as being a proper old school centre half, good in the tackle and good in the air but very little in the way of skill on the ball and a million miles away from the modern CBs like Van Dijk who can distribute and pass - but in his time he was effective as the ball was lumped into the box a lot more.
  15. Despite Chelsea spending gazillions on failed experiments, I actually think Poch is getting it right - for next season or the one after. Chelsea will surely be having a clear out of the dead wood in the summer and continue to focus on their kids who despite getting battered the other day have plenty of talent. Chelsea, Burnley and Arsenal all have an average age of 24 but Arsenal's players have more experience - something which is obviously lacking in Chelsea's ranks, but that will come in time as it will with Burnley if they can hang on to their prospects.
  16. She's gay and lives with her girlfriend and their daughter. ...and I don't know the answer to your next question.
  17. No but if she's on my team next time, I'll be shouting at her like I do with everyone else throughout the game. I'm all for equal verbal abuse rights.
  18. Not my type. She's about 26 now and anyway, her girlfriend wouldn't approve.
  19. Well she said she wants to come back for more
  20. I think women's football is great and that it's about time that girls and women got the opportunity and incentive to get involved in the great game - WSL does a great job in promoting it. The more females that are into football = less females whingeing about it being on the telly and men going to games and talking about it plus more supporters attending the men's games which is good for the club. That said, it's a different game. On Monday night we were a player short and having trawled through our Whatsapp group trying to coerce someone to make up the numbers, one bloke said he'd got a +1 who turned out to be a woman who plays for the town women's team - a woman I've known since she was a kid. Fair enough she could run, control, pass and shoot etc well enough to get involved, but all the guys were unwilling to mark/tackle her in case they broke her. Now I'm an old guy and the lads don't think twice about halving me given the opportunity but for now I can still compete and get stuck in where required whereas for the first half hour, nobody would go near her. So I decided to mark her for a bit and she didn't get a look in. Fair play to her - she appreciated being treated the same as everyone else (although I accidentally handled her left tit in one tackle) but the difference in physicality whilst playing is massive. "Boys against men" is a well used comparator, but men against women is a whole new level, and a lot of blokes feel obliged to back off which changes the game. We've never had a woman playing before and she enjoyed it so much she wants to play again - but sooner or later, somebody is going to snap her. I'm all for showing women's football on TV, but scheduling the playoffs to suit the TV schedule is bollocks. I know we need the TV money, and that's the problem, not women's football.
  21. Deadly serious. He had new trainers and no limp.
  22. George Johnston was on that video this week about kicking balls into a bucket with Thommo, Forrester and Morley. Looked perfectly healthy to me. Is he training with the squad? Is there any chance he may make an appearance this season?
  23. I can't imagine Evatt will play a weakened team - he has to focus on our game and the whatever happens with Derby happens. Sure there is the risk of injury, tiredness, suspension etc but there's always that risk. Plus it can be argued that going into the playoffs on a winning streak is a positive. Like I said on the Derby site, we just need to focus on our game and our results and I'm pretty sure Evatt will think the same.
  24. That's the game of chicken I was referring to. But the chances of that scenario happening are pretty much what the bookies are offering - only without the option to cash out
