  1. hhahaha Ken Anderson to Laurence Bassini, this is better than any TV comedy...you couldn't write this. In all fairness to him, if he does become the owner of the club, i think he should be given a fair shake.

You guys who what liquidation means? assets get turned into cash to pay off creditors and at the end the remainder goes to the shareholder, say the debts are 10 million, anything after that goes to Anderson. He might be under the assumption he could get 25/30 million for the assets in that situation, leaving him with £15-20 million, which might be more than the money he could get while trying to sell the club. At the moment we don't have the information, so yes all we know is Anderson doesn't have much money, we know roughly the size of the debt and we know how much the club has been advertised for before. The biggest assumption I've made is the value of the club and that is based on the sale amount.

We'll probably never know the exact details but based on my analysis from the information at hand that appears to be the order of battle obviously we don't know the full details due to nda etc

Ken says he wants 10 but would accept 5, buyers are only looking to spend 3. He knows that if we did fold he'd get 4, so why take the lower bid of 3, when he knows he can get 4 if we folded and maybe 5 if the buyer decides to spend extra right at the end. If a deals going to happen it'll happen right at the last min

I wouldn't but thats my decision, he made his choice.

Guys Anderson DOESNT GIVE A SHIT he gets his money anyway regardless of what happens to us. This is why hes holding out for the most he can get, because it doesnt matter to him either way.
  7. leadfrog1 replied to Kane57's topic in Terrace Talk
Hes signed contracts and has obligations, he knew how much money he had at the start of the season and carried on regardless.

"if we happened to be midtable instead of bottom there would be much less shite flying his way regardless of his brinkmanship & financial shenenigans." but we're not and ken appears to have done nothing in order to try and rectify that situation.

Parkinson should have been sacked months ago but there again whos decision is that?
  11. leadfrog1 replied to Kane57's topic in Terrace Talk
No but then again it wasn't my choice, he made the decision. when he first came here he stated that one of his objectives was to increase non football related income, he has failed in that endeavor. He said hes looking for a buyer last summer, then changed his mind after mean words online and then stated that he wasnt looking in the first place. This year his objective was to keep us up in this league, he has failed. He said months ago that results need to improve and has done nothing about it. We've spent 300k on players in 3 years, the club is falling apart and people want to defend the person whos overseen it. Regardless of mitigating circumstances he's responsible.

Anderson sold off Holding, Clough, Madine and the North Stand car park with an estimated value of £15 million in total. What would we have done last winter without that £6 million for Madine? we've been living on borrowed time while Anderson holds on to try and get the most he can for the club. I don't blame him for wanting to get a decent return but people lauding him like the second coming is stupidity.

Holdsworth has been involved in the purchase and running of several clubs people with money trust him, there's a reason for that. I'm not an Anderson hater, i call it as i see it.
  15. leadfrog1 replied to Kane57's topic in Terrace Talk
no but saying "Deano was gone before Clough was sold" was wrong thats what i was pointing out in that message

you cant make up history https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/15078963.holdsworth-i-am-not-to-blame-for-zach-clough-exit-to-forest/
  17. leadfrog1 replied to Kane57's topic in Terrace Talk
Do people forget that the probable reason Holdsworth's backers pulled out was because Anderson sold Zach Clough without informing the other shareholder. People thought at the time that this was done with the knowledge they'd pullout thus reducing the value of Holdsworth's asset meaning that he would have to go into liquidation meaning that Anderson could take full control of the club at a reduced cost. All we have is conjecture and guess work with a few facts thrown in because we've been lied to so often.
  18. leadfrog1 replied to Kane57's topic in Terrace Talk
Look no one blames him for making money but for people to defend him like he's a victim is fucking retarded, he's full grown man, whos' spent the last few years sucking the club dry of assets to fund a gamble (his attempted sale)

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3349655/Bolton-Wanderers-available-15m-owner-Eddie-Davies-targets-quick-exit-financially-crippled-club.html Davies demanded that any buyer had £15 million to fund the club, why would he add that as a condition, if he was going to liquidate it. Plus there was talk of other bidders. Anderson decided to buy Holdsworths shares knowing full well he couldn't run the club in the long term. Plus trying to sell for 10 years do people remember this: https://lionofviennasuite.sbnation.com/2012/11/8/3617234/massive-investment-by-burnden-leisure-bolton-wanderers-transfers
  20. leadfrog1 replied to Kane57's topic in Terrace Talk
I'm not sure that's true. We'd have found a buyer eventually, maybe someone who could have taken the club forward, people forget that back then we were much more of a salable asset back then. Anderson's just a businessmen who saw the opportunity to make a quick buck and got to the table before others had the chance. It takes time for seriously wealthy people, the sort that you'd need to run a football club, to go through all the checks and balances. Anderson's entire business model for Bolton was to reduce costs and sell assets, thats how we've been getting by.
  21. leadfrog1 replied to Kane57's topic in Terrace Talk
Anderson knew what he was getting into when he bought the club, he knew his finances were unsustainable/ unsuitable to run a football club but proceeded anyway, which has put our club in danger of being wound up, should a suitable buyer not be found. I think that based on this information the anti-Anderson crowd can be somewhat justified, especially when it looks like he's getting a hansom return on what appears to be very little financial investment. The club has been on pause for 3 years now unable to progress, leaping from one crisis to another, many of which have been deeply embarrassing and have left the clubs reputation in tatters for many years to come.
  22. leadfrog1 replied to Kane57's topic in Terrace Talk
Looking at the members of the Basran consortium, I'm not sure that they had the sort of cash you'd need to run a football club, I'm not saying they're poor or anything but you need some serious money these days to run a club. This might be the reason the venture appears to have failed, we all know Kens in it to get a decent return and in the long run he could actually be doing us a favor.
  23. The more youngsters coming through, provided they're of sufficient quality, the less money we have to spend on players in L1 (even free agents don't come that cheap for a club with basically no money), there's no reason that we can't have both "journeymen" and youngsters coming through, even if it's just to make up the numbers (which i don't think it would be). Most of the U23s are now 21/22, they're either good enough now or never will be.
  24. At this stage they should just play a bunch of the U23 and let them have a run out, surely can't do worse than the senior squad. Given Connells performance, i wonder if we have anymore hidden gems the current management are too rubbish to spot.
