  1. It must be me that’s fooked it, I only joined recently, sorry all!! Great news about John signing and for 3 years too. Just need a keeper and a couple strikers now and we’ll piss L1 next year. The Whites are cummin up the hill boys 🕺
  2. Let’s hope so Blondi, that would be the defence sorted and IE can give all his attention to a keeper and hopefully two strikers.
  3. Sadly, this whole knee thing has developed into the adversarial situation it was obvious it always would. By hardening their stance and coming out publicly to insist they will continue the action despite the obviously growing animosity against it, the England team and players have created a potential hornets nest. Nobody had an issue with it initially, seeing it as solidarity with the GF situation and if the PL and EFL had finished the practise at the end of the first season, none of this would have happened. They could also have removed the BLM badge from players shirts which has just inflated the situation. Political statements and insignia is illegal under all football laws and to use the excuse of anti racism to continue it is just wrong, whichever way you look at it and that is what the booers are angry about.
  4. I don’t have any worries about MJ Jimmy and don’t care why Blackpool let him leave, or why Wednesday let Lee leave, or Swindon Sarce and Izzy. They’re ours now and most players benefit and raise their games from the other players around them. IE is building a team and if he can just get in at least one good striker but preferably two of different types, then I’m confident we will be challenging. Half of the teams in L1 are no better than most in L2 so even with the squad we had we should have been looking at top half but with these new signings we should be at least challenging for the play off positions.
  5. Surely it’s for the Social Media companies themselves to police this better Rudy. Abusing players, both black and white, because abuse isn’t just racial, or against only black players and sports stars, is wrong and the perpetrators should be punished accordingly. I agree that the actual taking the knee action doesn’t carry much weight now and in fact is becoming a problem in itself. I think the huge majority of fans and people generally, hate racism in any form but believing actions like taking the knee will sort it is naive in the extreme. It’s run it’s course, it’s highlighted the cause but it’s now become counter effective and it’s not a signal that the trolls have won, more common sense has prevailed.
  6. If it’s equality they want, just look at the number of black players actually on the field yesterday, or in most PL teams these days, earning ridiculous amounts of money for playing “the working mans game,” but which completely outnumbers the % of the black population as a whole and tell me they don’t have equality. Sadly many have succumbed to the ever growing woke agenda pedalled by the left which says if you don’t agree with me you’re a racist. If players want to show solidarity then fine but surely there are far better ways to demonstrate that than by displaying politically motivated symbols, which in any case under the laws of FIFA, UEFA and the FA are against the rules. Let’s just see how many of the Eastern European teams fully support this virtue signalling and divisive crap and apart from booing at games, don’t think problems won’t kick off in pubs and bars when people disagree on it. Southgate has stoked a fire here and is only going to grow hotter.
  7. It’s gone on too long now. Maybe it was ok for one season to show solidarity after the GF incident but now it’s becoming an annoying irrelevance and if the only way supporters can show their displeasure is to boo, then so be it. They are not booing their own team, just the principle of what’s at stake and anybody who can’t distinguish between the two is I’m afraid either politically motivated, or just down right thick.

  9. I thought the same green jacket, he’s never actually indicated he’d come back long term and I’d hate for him to be using us as a last resort in case nothing better comes up. I’m confident IE wouldn’t allow that to happen, no matter how good John might think he is though to be fair, there will be a king sized drop in salary if he does drop down.
  10. Thanks Wooli, I underestimated, let’s hope we can beat that this year then. There might be a few night matches I can’t attend so I wonder if we’ll get iFollow free again for them as season ticket holders?
  11. Well, ive renewed mine so lets see what happens when they go on open sale tomorrow. It would be some kick in the teeth if we sold less than the 7,000 of last year!
