Abuse is clearly always wrong and should be stamped out from football, I’m sure we all agree on that. Criticism though? I don’t mind admitting that if we finish 10th this season & unless something extraordinary contributed to it, I’d personally be very critical of SS as that would represent a really poor season. Perhaps I’m alone in that though.

Anelka the best striker I've seen play for us. Only started watching BWFC around 2003/4 mind you. Wish I was older back then so I could have appreciated those times more rather than taking them for granted like I did.

Yep, we didn’t stand a chance there. Ah well, plenty more left backs around.

This sums up exactly how I feel. I’m surprised some of our fans don’t share the same view. We will get back to where we belong eventually. All those years of shite we’ve had to endure will make it feel even sweeter when we do.

Should be, though I suspect Bradford may run us very close. Doesn’t mean much but it’s another pulling factor for new signings no? Come and join the biggest club in the league with the biggest crowds in the best stadium (biased but I think it’s true).

To be fair I think the money we spend for our level is very competitive but I’d expect it to be considering we average over 21k fans in the third tier. Club our size should easily be able to compete financially in L1, it will be when we eventually get promoted to the Championship that we may struggle unless we attract more investment. Some seriously wealthy owners in that league.

Yeah definitely, we will certainly be stronger when the window closes than we are now and I honestly think we’ll have a great season. Feel free to quote this same time next year if we finish 12th 😁

Sorry @masi 51, didn’t mean to quote your post, meant to quote bwfc4ife’s post instead. Apologies.

Totally respect that way of thinking but I disagree. Charlton finished 16th the season before last. Derby finished outside the playoffs the season before beating us to autos. Leyton Orient & Wycombe I think finished 11th and 10th respectively the season before last, both finished last season in the top 6, both much smaller clubs than ourselves. We finished 8th (and that’s with no proper striker for what seemed like half a season and a historically poor season defensively) so for me playoffs is the absolute minimum I expect this season. Anything less than 6th would be a really poor showing from everyone involved in my opinion.

Haha yeah I totally agree mate, he’s a brilliant player. Would be a dream signing for us but probably not a realistic one. Then again Plymouth have apparently put in a couple of bids for him. If we did have a spare £2m+ lying around I’d definitely be asking the question but I suspect he’d want to test himself in the Championship this season.

Almost certain he’s a striker, never heard of him being referred to as a #10 before. Plays as an out and out number 9 whenever I’ve seen him. He’d be a brilliant striker for us but far too expensive and he showed last season he is too good for League One.

QPR have reportedly rejected bids from Plymouth of £1.5m and £2m for Kelman. He is definitely worth far more than a million.

Very sad to hear. RIP Chris.

Just watched this highlights video of N'Mai from last season. Obviously easy to say from a video only showing the good bits but I really hope we sign him, or at least someone similar. I've missed watching someone like this play for us. Dynamic, quick, exciting etc.
