Similar to Chesterfield in that sense. You walk out the station and there's fuck all We found a small bar that did strong cider and it was a sunny day so went down nicely Then had to get taxi to ground where it was a wank harvester type pub but was cheap Back to cider pub after Then got off for a few in Sheffield on way back So I guess I was referring to my day Wouldn't want to do it in winter and not stop off in Sheffield

We’re directing people to Tesco’s and bring beer back as they couldn’t keep up on service. Think that was the game I met you from memory in person. They did beat us but if you look at the turn of events that new years game seems to be the turning point,
February 18, 20251 yr Had a quick look back for games played on 18 Feb. Who remembers a home FA Cup tie v West Ham in 2006. An absolutely vast and very loud away following of Hammers. It finished 0-0 with them winning the replay. Rare for them to get any type of result v us at the Reebok in them days even though in that period they always had the hoodoo over Blackburn. Remember it being a freezing cold day, windswept. My mind might be playing tricks but I think they had the whole South Stand. Three days earlier we'd played Marseille at home in another 0-0. For those with somewhat longer memories 18 Feb 1978 saw us draw 2-2 at Oldham (Reid, Whatmore) in yet another 1970s attempt to get promotion to the top flight. This time we were successful but in mid Feb no doubt the big Blackburn/Fulham climax felt some way distant. With two points for a win a point away at Boundary Park wouldn't have been bad. I was at this game but very much primary school age so no clear memory other than us going as a family in a group of cars. On the way home one of the cars ploughed in to the back of another leading not unnaturally to a family row. Attendance listed as more than 20,000 which is hard to imagine given the modern day Boundary Park! I bet half of those were BWFC.

Yeah I recall it Because of their big following in a 17k they were claiming massiveness points Whereas we were clearly more interested in Marseille with 19k at home and taking 3-4k away That was also the best euro jolly for me despite the result

I went to that with my Chelsea supporting mate from our digs at Uni in Leeds. It was fckg freezing. Oldham played in orange unless my memory's playing tricks.
What an atmosphere
