2025/26 Highlights

So dust settled on what has been a bizarre season in so many ways, ended up culminating in promotion out of this godforsaken league.

Obviously most people are going to point to the playoffs as highlight (both away at Bradford and Wembley) but in the regular league season what where your highlights / favourite moments?

I cannot remember a season for as many late goals and some of the wild celebrations and limbs have been fantastic. Coupled with wins against the odds, winning derby games and some of the goals scored it's actual quite a tough choice.

Loads of great moments. All the late goals. Leaving Stockport and our b tec rivals behind. I’ve never been as embarrassed when some tried to create a rival with Morecambe 😂

Couple of years later and there's 3 divisions between us.

Another shout for a highlight for me, that Kenny goal at Bradford and the scenes it led to. Was just something about the way he took that shot, it was levels above League 1, proper disrespectful finish 😃

Simons smashing that goal in in the 2nd leg. I haven’t celebrated like that for a long long time.

Reckon the emotion of that game did us a massive favour in preparing us for the play offs

Make that 4 (FOUR)

Agreed, players and fans alike actually. Took away any sense of us going into the unknown for the play offs. Sure, they may have been able to generate an atmosphere we rarely see in L1, and was a very competitive game, but we showed we were more than capable of matching it and had nothing to fear.

watched this last night

6 times ACD scored the same goal, cut in on the left foot and bent it in

Gale & Burstow scored some great goals earlier on, but both their seasons kind of fell away

Cissoko a few crackers

The standard of some of our late goal was outrageous, cissoko and CBT in particular
