Old Trafford held 45,000 15 years ago. In 2007 it will hold 76,000. That's a 71% increase in traffic, people milling around on match days etc etc.

I've got sympathy for the locals. If I had my way I would reduce the capacity of that shite hole to 200 and put the ticket prices up to ??58,000 a piece.

It doesn't really affect me, as I live a couple of miles away from the shitehouse. It's Trafford Council who piss me off. They're so far up Man U's arse it's unreal. They continually say they'll close parts of the ground down for fans persistently standing, they say they'll listen to residents objections re United's plans etc etc.

 

In the end, they've done nowt. Planning passed at the first attempt, no modifications asked for, no public inquiry. However, just try and put a fence up around your property in Trafford Borough, you'd think you'd asked to rebuild the Great Wall of China in your back street!
