try the album ANTICS, new album from INTERPOL. they are so good that even radio 1 does'nt play em. seen em twice, sell out gigs at man acad and they are atmospheric as fook. supported once by some arty farty jocks called franz something. joy division influenced, check em out.

Bloc Party, saw them supporting The Killers t'other week and not THAT impressed although Helicopter is a top track (The Killers tipped by me as the next big thing to SSM yonks ago btw ). Kieser Chiefs stand more of a chance I'd say.

 

Not impressed by Mooney Sukuzi so far, bit too Darknessesque.

Went watching Mick Jones's new band, Carbon Silicon at the Academy last nite.He's teamed up with Tony James of Generation X, Sigue Sigue Sputnik fame.

 

Cracking gig, could see Mick was just pleased to be back out playing just for the fun of it and they've got a couple of quality tunes to back it up.

 

No record deal, don't think they are looking for one and all audience members actively encouarged to record and film the show to file swap over the t'inter.
