Scotland's Secret Shame

 

Panorama looks at the tribal loyalties that divide fans of the country's two biggest soccer clubs, Rangers and Celtic.

 

The fan base for the clubs has historically been determined on religious grounds - Catholic or Protestant - bringing an added troubled dimension to traditional soccer rivalries.

 

As we embark on the new century, the programme tries to see if there is any sign of a movement away from the hostilities of the past.
