April 15, 200521 yr Hope she falls flat on her ugly face. Or sulks off again when she's not winning. [-X
April 15, 200521 yr as one of our few world class sportsmen, women, call em what you want, i hope she is back to her best
April 15, 200521 yr b*llocks. she gets paid to be a professional athlete. professional footballers don't walk off the pitch if they're getting beat 3-0 with 20 mins left - they get on with it and face defeat like professionals. "it was too hot" in greece apparently... well fook me Athens hot in July/August eh there's a turnup. Why the fook wasn't she training in Greece prior to the games to aclimatise?? She's like a scouser - becomes a victim of something she did wrong. don't have any sympathy for her at all. if any of us walked out of a job cos it weren't goin our way we'd be sacked.
April 15, 200521 yr It'll not be too hot for Paula this time around, though. I tend to see both sides of this argument. She is one of our few world class athletes, but her approach to the Olympics seemed all wrong.
April 15, 200521 yr don't have any sympathy for her at all. if any of us walked out of a job cos it weren't goin our way we'd be sacked. if you were as good at your job as she is at hers, you'd walk into a new, better paid one tomorrow

April 15, 200521 yr She's got a house just up the road, directly opposite the Priory boozer. I can just imagine her staggering out after a session and only making it halfway home, collapsing in the gutter Did you know she actually shat herself just before she pulled up in the Athens run?
April 15, 200521 yr and btw, she 'quit' once in Athens she dropped out twice - the marathon and a track event, may have been the 1500. Fair play she wasn't good enough - but i refuse to feel sorry for someone who has had the chance that thousands in this country would do anything for (compete in the Olympics and get paid a decent living as an athlete) - only to "f*ck it I'm not gonna win so I'll sit down".
April 15, 200521 yr I thought she sat down cause her legs wouldn't move any more Quite hard to run when you can't move your legs Fenny Just been looking up the word 'pedantic' in the dictionary

April 15, 200521 yr I thought she sat down cause her legs wouldn't move any more Quite hard to run when you can't move your legs post of the hour well done
April 15, 200521 yr Anyone who can shit themselves and keep running will do for me. spose its better in her keks than in the bath
April 15, 200521 yr Anyone who can shit themselves and keep running will do for me. I seem to remember shitting myself and running many times in the late 70s 8-[
April 15, 200521 yr She was actually ill when she ran the marathon in Athens, but she still decided to give it a go. She shouldn't have bothered as everyone has just given her shit for stopping. She'd been taking Ibuprofen as the British Olympic team doctor had told her too, the only problem is they give you the shits, so she basically ran the marathon on an empty stomach, equivalent to not eating for 3-4 days. I find it amazing that she managed to run as far as she did. I wonder how many of the people on here that are slagging her of have actually tried running any distance? Pity you can't support a British Athlete.
April 15, 200521 yr i`m pleasantly surprised at just how many athletic specialists have visited this board in one day. amazing. i didn`t know that cyberland had such quality knowledge
April 15, 200521 yr She's a bit on the skinny side though :-# PB O:) Has anybody here - seen my old friend, Abraham
Hope she falls flat on her ugly face. Or sulks off again when she's not winning. [-X
