credit card problems.....help needed

Featured Replies

had a set-to with capital one after trying to pay an ??11 bill with my debit card.

phoned through and got an indian call centre and a bloke who couldn't speak a word of english ](*,) ](*,)

anyway the bill went on 2 months and up to ??195 ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

for the last week or 2 they've taken to ringing me at home every hour or so even though i refuse to speak or discuss or give security detail to them.

i payed the minimum payment ??195 this morning but they're STILL PHONING ](*,) ](*,)

is there some way of complaining without complaining to the said company as i'm sure that would be brushed aside ](*,) ](*,)

How did the bill get from ??11 to ??195 :-s :-k

I'm with Capital One, you need to look at the terms & cons, there are set procedures with complaints, eventually they lead to an obud summit, takes time though.

Balance tranfer to M&S More card, 0% for 9 months. I have hopped around CC's for 3 years, paying it off along the way. Paid for new kitchen, landscape garden, M&S are paying for loft conversion paid off in 8 months :D/ nowt on my mortgage :D/ .

transfer the fucker to M&S and pay it off over 9 months to ease the pain. Complain. You may get your money back.

O forgot to mention, M&S balance tranfers are via a call centre in................................ragging india ](*,) ](*,) but you can do via post. Don;t know what worse Royal Mail or Call centre in India.

I work for a bank mate so I have some advice for you. The banks now have to log complaints strictly under terms set by The Financial Services Act(FSA). If they don't then they can receive massive fines and even lose their licence to lend money. Quote this act and tell them if they don't sort out your complaint you will seek legal advice. If you tried to pay the bill with your debit card and they refused then they cannot charge you late payment fees so demand they get refunded. Hope this helps pal.

or he could go to head office and eat em all 8-[

i think JO's advice is probably the better option

I've never ever paid a late fee

Ask to speak the manager and keep escalating it until the charge is removed

It won't get to Directoral level as it costs too much for customers to speak to Directors

I once set up a team of people to deal with such complaints with the biggest retail company in Europe so just keep complaining

The most important thing is that you get all the charges refunded.

You need to complain to Capital One not anyone else. Phone them when you haven't been boozing and try not to kick off too much, this way you can tell them that you are not happy with the service and explain why you haven't wanted to speak to them and you feel like switching to another company.

There is a good chance that you will get all your charges money back. About 4 or 5 days later someone from customer care will phone you back to ask you to give them marks out of ten for a number of different things e.g. politeness, did you get understood, were you pleased with the result, would you recommend us etc.

do it now

zozzy
