Look out for us in the away end. 3 fat blokes and a skinny bloke in a shell suit!!!

Do you know how much it'll be on the door?

Where did you get your trackie from?

it'll be anything between a fiver and 10 quid - they dont usually decide until the last minute

Has anyone on here been to Witton's ground? :-k

17th November 1990. We played them in the FA Cup.

Paul Comstive and Julian Darby scored in a 2-1 win.

Their ground is in Northwich.

I remember it being a fu(king freezing day. I had been slagging off Comstive in the boozer before the game and when he scored he came running straight at me at the front behind the goals.

I didn't know whether to hug him or say 'fu(k off ya shit C(unt' :D

What was Comstive doing in the boozer before the game?

I was there at Witton. Not a bad day out. Played in our "gingham" strip. Think we were main match on MOTD that evening. Met the missus that night. The rest is history. Or a life sentence - depends which way you look at it.

I was featured on Match of the Day that night

Well I caught a glimpse of myself jumping up and down celebrating behind the goals

Smiley thought she had gone to her mother's instead of the football.

Aye - she met a young, slim, happy football fan. Fast forward to 2005 & he never stops moaning on the internet and is twice the size................ O:)

only ??5 on the door.

all hoolies allowed!

??5 on the door. Only 25 minutes from Bolton.

I'm expecting a big following in the away end from here.

C'mon! You know it makes sense.

Have a couple of young ex-Gers in the line-up this season.

Best supported team outside the Premier League (along with Partick).

Scottish League has admitted that they fully expect attendances in the 2nd Div to be larger than the 1st Div due to Morton and Partick being in that same division. Morton averaged over 1500 away at EVERY match last season. Shit even Bolton are struggling to take that many.

Fully expect 300-400 today.

Get yerself back into the footie mood - go on!

Great win for the 'Ton. 3-1. Derek Lilley (ex Leeds) scored in the first minute, then a quality passing move for the second. Alty got a penalty - and then the ref decided to send off the 'Ton player..... to the disbelief of the 200-300 strong following from Greenock (spelt Grennock on the tickets!). Anyway the keeper saved it. Second half, with the sun beating down, it was surely going to be one-way traffic for Alty with the man advantage - but no - 'Ton scored a third. Then Alty got another penalty - and again it was saved! Finally the home team grabbed a consolation near the end.

A good day on the terraces, only ??5 on the door (though I managed to sort out comps!) and the social club was packed with many of the 'Ton following at both the start and half time. This really is how football should be on a Saturday afternoon (at 3pm).

Me Gubbins and his Bro inlaw went that game, he got us tickets off a Witton player he worked with, i think most of the players used to play for Colne Dynamos before they went bump.
