September 20, 200520 yr http://www.tribalfootball.com/september/en...ews2200905.html Man City's Pearce demands better atmosphere at Eastlandstribalfootball.com - September 20, 2005 Manchester City are trying different ways to improve the atmosphere at Eastlands. Boss Stuart Pearce had complained of not enough noise and passion at the City of Manchester Stadium following the 0-0 draw with West Brom on the opening day of the season. So when he walked out to collect his Manager of the Month award for August before Sunday's game, the club played pre-recorded chants of "Psycho, Psycho" to lift the crowd. Also pumped out of City's public address system were pre-recorded chants of "Stuart Pearce's blue and white army", although they soon stopped after fans voiced their displeasure. City spokesman Paul Tyrrell said: "We have been examining ways of improving the atmosphere at the stadium and have been speaking to supporters' groups about it. "And over the next few weeks we will be trying out other things." After all that, City lost to Bolton after a late penalty.

September 20, 200520 yr i seem to remember manure doing it when we were there a couple years back [-XIts never been done at Old Trafford, the only crowd noises ever heard are when that halfwit tannoy bloke goes to announce a scorer and its too loud and deafens you, but apart from in exec boxes when the noise from outside is piped through,
How embarrasing....
