George Best did not muder anyone/rape anyone/abuse kids/bomb people.

.

In his autobiography, George Best tells of when he had his big house in Cheshire that girls used to come and knock on his door. He would answer it and then shag them on the floor just behind the front door and when he had finished shove them out. I wonder how many of these girls bore his illegitimate kids. That to my mind is akin to rape and abuse of kids.

With regard to respecting him as a footballer, he retired at the age of 28. He couldn't be arsed to go in for two hours training each morning. He should have ben bloody grateful that because of his talent for football he was able to dodge the IRA bullets flying round Belfast and do a job that loads of people would have liked to have done and got well paid for it into the bargain. I wouldn't clap that. With his morals he probably had the clap when he was alive.

if i had random birds coming round my house every day for a quick scuttle i'd probably stop going to work as well

You have to feel some sympathy for his son and members of his immediate family, but why feel sorry for a man who continually lied, acted so selfishly for thirty years and wasted his second chance at life. :-({|=

That picture posted by Satan is truly fooking horrific, that poor kid.

As for George Best, he was a footballing hero to many but he wasted the chance of life, a chance that IMO could have been given to someone more deserving. I wonder if the family of whoever died which give him that second chance of life know that George Best was the recipent?

Everyone else is having their 50p worth so so will I.

IMO he was just a normal bloke with a great talent who got fame beyond belief, started living in the fast lane & ultimately couldn't handle it.

I feel sorry for his family, friends & everyone else who knew him.

I don't really remember him as a footballer from my era, so maybe I don't fully appreciate the impact he had on the game/people etc but what I can't believe is this outpouring of grief for.........a footballer.

I must have just missed the bit from where he turned into the new Princess Di.

RIP George.

anyone remember when that lad ran on the pitch at Burnden and tried to give him the handbag...he was well pissed off...Rodney Marsh took it and still had it in his hand when the game kicked off

He had a bar over here in Hermosa Beach for years, I would never put a penny in a Reds pocket, had to go in once to watch a European cup final, and he had doubled the drink prices for the day
