Ticket office

Club is run by dickheads.

Tried to ring the ticket office to get tickets for West Ham but my work have a bar on us ringing 087 numbers.

So being a smartarse,I rang the switchboard, they wouldn't put me through. I explained the situation but they weren't having any of it. Never mind they said pick them up tonight they are selling them at the ticket office until 5.30.

5 fecking 30? I've got a fecking job you twats, I can't get there for 5.30.

So all you Hammers that is the sort of shyte we're up against.

they go on sale again after the match

So the club have told your place of work to put a bar on 087 numbers.

As a matter of interest the West Ham United ticket office number commences with 087 as well.

So I'm just being cynical when I think that they told me to ring the 0871 number rather than connect me from the switchboard so they can squeeze as much money out of me as possible?

I'll be fecked if I'm queuing up after the match

Can't you just pay on the day?

Im not sure its possible that your ticket office is worse than ours.

If the phone system isnt in meltdown then you get counted down in the queue in a bizzare way....65..50..45..76...32..46..48 etc!

And you even get cut off sometimes just when you are nearing the top.

If you try and phone them today then it diverts to Ticket Master in Manchester, which only allows you to buy for certain home games...What if you want to ask a question, buy away tickets or have a problem, TM cant help you!

BROWN OUT!

only used the 0871 number once and got charged a fiver on me mobile, best thing to do is call general enquires or commercial office and get them to put you through

Got em - 20 minutes on a mobile to a 0871 number.

That's going to cost me isn't it?

Tried that, they weren't having any of that.

Judging by Hammers reply this is a problem with most clubs, was at the ticket office the other week , when a guy at the next window was reporting his season ticket lost, he knew it wasn't stolen and it was in his house somewhere but couldn't find it, and just wanted to buy a replacment card so he could get some cup tickets, the ticket office said they couldn't do anything or sell him tickets while his season ticket was missing unless he had a police crime number, he explained again he had lost it it hadn't been stolen but still the office demanded a crime number. The guy asked why the situation needed him to burden an already over burdened police force. The office still demanded a crime number and then told him the situation would then be looked into and they would get back to him. Sounded like fcuking madness to me, these people have all the brains of britain and fook all common sense.

TOs tend to employ people on min wage that have to deal witha lot of people wanting something badly in a short period of time, many with poor social skills

the West Ham official site finally has a very rudimentary online ticket purchase feature which lets members buy home tickets for cup games as well as shows any tickets you've applied for as soonas you get them, which is cool

I do all my away tickets by priority fax

SO no need to ever speak to the ticket office, which is best for all parties

The online system is fine if its working but when theres a problem with it then you have no choice but to go down there (if you can) or phone them up.

Its pretty daft in this day and age that a postal application is still the best and quickest way of obtaining tickets to watch a football match.

fax, get a proof of sending that way, I wouldn't use the post

Mick Brown,

I'm going up tomorrow to buy a ticket for the West Ham game.

Would you like me to get one for you?
