a poor season

Featured Replies

definitely not

ultimately disappointing yes, but another good season

just hope we can keep it together and improve the squad over the summer

i will settle for 8th next season, i would like a little more football, less of davies and no long throws.

i agree more attacking play .

two strikers up front with two wingers.

well we an dream cant we, id settle for 8th place with wigan going down [-o<

I'd take the same again apart from the 2 months when Sam took his eye off the ball causin us to lose 6 or 7 in a row.

just hope we can keep it together and improve the squad over the summer

First of all i agree , dissapointing end to the season, but top 8 of the best football league in the world is good going.

Now i know me and thee disagree on certain things , so i'm going to question you on the quote i've done .

How are we going to improve our squad next season ?

With what funds do you see us getting to improve our squad ?

how many players do you think we need to improve our squad ?

and dont you think its about time we had a decent striker in the prem who will get us 16+ goals a season .

i agree, we have done great this season, unfortunatly we had our bad sides through out easter, but you cant blame the team we have had more matches that usual this season.

and dont you think its about time we had a decent striker in the prem who will get us 16+ goals a season

You may laugh but I honestly think Vaz Te could bag us double figures next year, he's come on leaps and bounds the last few weeks in my opinion and if he improves on his finishin he could be the cheapest goalscorer available to us!

I'll be disappointed if Vaz Te doesn't get into double figures next season.

Well is Vaz the answer then? Him and Davies look quite a good pairing up front with Davies putting himself about

is that appearances or goals?

i was amazed he and borgetti didn't start today

if he stops falling over himself and cuts out the dives .then you could be correct .

Both.

Heading ability and pace are a rare combo.

i don't disagree with you

just beyond me why he didn't start today

hope its not a trend

i rate him highly even without the goals

gives us something nobody else does

I don't have a prob with bringing him on when other players are starting to tire.

fair enough, but i'd prefer to take him off when he's starting to tire with us 3 up

So would everyone.

But that'd be about the time a bigger club came in for him.

one thing to say realy "in sam we trust". its his job to make the signings and move us on lets just leave him to get on with it

poor season compered to what. dont think so

We can defend the Asia Trophy now we are out of the UEFA

.....................anyone going

yes brouno possiably campo and everyone who fellout with big sam :D

Top 8 finish 3 seasons in a row! Brilliant!

=D>

On paper at least [-X

Realistically, I'm happy with where we finished. What I'm not happy with is the standard of football we achieved it with.

Maybe just not chosen my games wisely, but other than a couple of Eurpoean games, the Wanderers have been pretty garbage to watch from what I've seen and that's not a specific criticism of Bolton, but more of the dropping standards in the Premiership.

We have proved that on our day we can play some cracking football, when it's good it's good but when it's bad it's utterly appalling.

The two best performances i've seen all season ended in defeat - marseille away in the UEFA, and West Ham away in the FA cup.

So let's blame someone else, oh I don't know, tha mancs and chelski?

Nah , not poor !

We are still in the Prem , disappointed we aint made UEFA .

I think all the speculation of Sam and the England post has a lot to do with last few months play..........

Thats over lets move on !!

And what about the Man City game at home

Everton away

Charlton at home

West Ham at home (league)

Newcastle at home

ALL better performances than the 2 you mention imo

Were the last four minutes yesterday, Borgetti's last appearance as a Bolton player. I hope not. He is the type of player Hanson was talking about on MOTD, who can get into the six yard box and stick the chances away.
