Is this club in such a dire state that we no longer ackowledge our fans anymore? I hear big sam piping on about how we want to get rid of this small club tag weve got but does that mean that we have to have players who dont give one. Jesus christ, today i saw darren moore outrun vaz te and diouf, i dont think stelios touched the ball, we actually didnt have one shot on the goal, our so called manager i dont think was on the touchline for any part of the game, were as the billy davies almost got sent off he was that animated and showing passion. Our club has that much knowledge on bringing on youth theyve the developed a new tactic known as 'ahh jack this put em all on and see how they do' were they dont believe in throwing in a few at a time and actually give em a chance to have the ball. I dont mind big sam declaring himself pleased about getting good fitness from friendlies abroad or behind closed doors but i do not expect a manager to completly ignore the fact that people have travelled and payed to watch players get fit, they should put warnings on friendlies from now on ' please be warned, the players will not try or show passion, you wont see a shot or a string of more than 5 passes'. maybe my expectations are too high, but whatever, forget it

' please be warned, the players will not try or show passion,

i thought that was a given....

And breathe. :D

We played Carlisle in a friendly, they beat us, the players were kicking off left, right and centre, I predicted relegation. Was Sasa's last game, we won the league by a mile and it was one of the most memorable seasons in our history. Hence = friendlies mean fook all.

I agree with Carlos, friendlies mean nothing at all. It's hardly worth going to them unless it's at the Reebok and you want to watch the 'stars' of t'other team.

To me it's just a waste of money and those that complain are silly as you should already know from past experience that it is just a work-out, nothing more nothing less.

got to agree with carlos pre season games mean fuckall

Friendlies are a waste of time, the way they are played now. I went to Burnley last week and that determined that I did not go to Derby. When half way through the game you don't know who is playing for your team, then it is time to stop. If Sam wants to give all his players a run out, then why doesn't he arrange a friendly game for the reserves against a local non league side. They would be more of the standard the reserves play at and be more beneficial to them.

every season ive ever remembered we always lose most of our friendlies and have a decent season. If we started winning them then id start shitting myself thinking what the fucks going on!!!

we did win them all one year then got relegated

Must admit about pre season games, went to Hull City, lost 1-0, Hull fans saying our team will struggle, then went on to romp the league! :D

the clue is in the name FRIENDLIES

The worse you do in pre-season the better the proper season goes !!

Celtic didn't win any of there 7 pre seasons, won first match 4-1.

more people are beginning to realise

friendlies are for mugs
